The noise at startup is embarrassing considering that this is Mazda's most expensive vehicle. Never had a noise problem with my Toyota Sienna.

Has anyone installed the Class 2 hitch that comes from Mazda? If so do the installer's do the cut out in the bumper as shown in the Mazda Accessories page?

Well it has been 7 months since I started this thread on the CX-9 Nav system. I have gotten used to the CX-9 Navigation system and am happy to say I like it better than my Magellan. It has a learning curve but it was worth it.

I have the 20's and it creates a longer stretch to get in and out. Hope you are tall.

Why not the latest Nav DVD? I have a 2010 CX-9 and it came with the 2008 ver.1 Navigation DVD. Do all 2010 models come with two year old DVD's?

I don't hear it inside the car. Yes it seems to be worse when the vehicle is cold.

I found all your comments helpful. I also will have to get used to the "Ticking Sound" on my 2010 CX-9. I was used to my old Toyota Sienna Van which was always quiet. Is the CX-9 motor found in Ford vehicles?

I read on this newsgroup how CX-9's are delivered with too much air pressure. So when I picked up my new CX-9 it seemed as if I was getting a very rough ride. I checked the tire pressure and they were all over inflated to 50 PSI when they should have been 34. Thanks for the advice.
