    Please Help Mazda 626 rotors?

I can't possibly believe Mazda would do that on a grocery-getter family car. According to my books, the MSP has the same front rotor as the 98-02 626 V6, and the 92-95 929, and they are not directionally vented. You guys seem to share the rear rotor with the 03 Mazda 6.

    Oem Or Corksport Brake Pads

Now that's funny... Not a joke... :) Wanted an eye catching color, but all the good ones were taken. Didn't want to use Blue, might be confused with Hawk blue. Damn sure didn't want to use green and be confused with EBC. Wanted to use yellow, but a good yellow paint is hard to find due to...

Brake Pads for AutoX / Track Days?

gar777, sounds like P+ is where you need to be. Expect a fair amount of dust and some squeaks out of them on the street. They come on early (~150 F degrees) so they are good for R-compound tire autocrossing, and their fade point of 1200 F is good enough for a track school.

Brake Pads for AutoX / Track Days?

You guys need to be careful about using Hawk pads on the Mazdaspeed Protege. They do not have the right pad shape for your front. Some have been sold the pad for the Protege 5. It *fits* and *works*, but it is much smaller than the stock MS Protege pad. There's a lot less contact area with...

Who has upgraded their brakes due to FI?

Stop playing around with street pads on the track and get honest track pads. I *assure* you the proper compound (XP9 perhaps) will stop the hell out of your car.

Just as bad. The US dollar is way down to the Canadian dollar compared to a year ago.

    new rotors?

Being in a retail business these days, anything that is being imported into this country is going through the roof price-wise. The US dollar is very, very weak right now. If their rotors are coming in from another country (Japan, Australia, Italy), that's why. Another reason to buy Made in...

    new rotors?

No no not at all. Its VERY common to think that the rotors are warped. I'm not saying that it's totally impossible for a rotor to warp, just highly unlikely, particularly if you only drive on the street. I had back to back track weekends at Virginia Int. Raceway a few years ago. I ran one...

    new rotors?

And I'm still quite sure that if you have those "warped" rotors turned, use a better brake pad, and drive in the same manner that "warped" those rotors in the first place, the problem will not return. I have done that exact same experiment before.

    new rotors?

The guys at Frozen Rotors (aka Diversified Cryogenics) are top notch. Tell them Matt@Carbotech said "Hi". No wait...don't do that. They may charge you double :)
