    What is this plug???

Well thanks for the help. Finally broke down and went to the dealer over lunch to find out what it is. The guy at the parts desk didn't know what it was. He asked one of his mechanics who has an MSP to come out and look at it. He knew right away that it is a primary ignition sensor used only...

Need help with my msp please someone help me?

I don't know if this is the same problem but I have a hesitation around 4500-5000rpm. When I step on it in this range the car will buck (jolt back and forth) and you will hear a whinning noise which I think is the turbo spooling but the power is not there. If I plant me foot it will smoothen...

    How-to: +2psi for a cheap $5

Tried it last weekend. Took me 15 minutes to lift the car, get underneath, hook the spring to the actuator arm, get out from under the car, grab the top of the spring (attached to coat hanger, nice idea) and clip it to the shield, lower the car. Best 15 minute mod yet!!! Thanks.

    What is this plug???

So the two wires that come into the plug are grounds for something? Do you know for what? Why a plug to ground vs ring terminal with a bolt like the other one? Thanks.

    What is this plug???

I noticed this past weekend that the two wires (black/blue and black/white) leading to this plug were cut at the plug. It is the first black plug on the ground bracket just below the oil fill cap on the passenger side. There is a ground bolt for two wires then next to it is the plug. I...

Just got my mazdaspeed protege HELP!

First is a cold air intake, then exhaust. Turbo back is better then S-Pipe back but involves removing the exhaust manifold...time and time = money. With these upgrades the car will breathe and respond much better. Next would be hard pipes. I would not recommend spending the money on a FMIC...

    Strange setup on used MSP?

If you have no drivability issues then leave it. True it is a boost leak but it that might not be a problem, not effecient but not a problem. First thing is to follow the vacum line back from the wastegate and see where it is connected. I suspect it is open. Here's what I'm thinking. If...

Any problems with MAF? Have you had any problems with the MAF on the pressure side? Looking at a similar setup and want to know if there are any issues. Thanks.

FMIC KIt - The real deal! The essential speed kit is in CAD$ If you want to see a real FMIC kit that flows check out Perrinperformance.com. Its $1200US and it is the nicest kit I've seen. It has a monster IC and one piece aluminum pipes. If you really wanna run boost then this baby is for...

Finished adding a custom SRI to my custom FMIC setup...

SRI and coolant overflow I just installed my INJEN SRI and after relocating the coolant reservoir I noticed that the outlet for the overflow was right in front of the air filter. I decided to run a hose to the bottom of the engine bay to direct the overflow. Haven't seen to many other...

The $24.5K is before tax. The Yellow ones were $500-750 cheaper. Ontario Mazda. I'll have to take a look for the sticker indicating the flash.

    so whos got a msp?

Hello I just picked up my MSP this week, absolutely love it. Titanium Gray and after three weeks of negotiating I managed to pry it from them for $24.5K. Glad to become a member and am learning a lot about the car. I had my ECU flashed before I picked it up. One question I do have is if...
