sorry dude, but that is not enough info for us to be able to locate the problem. my car shakes and rattles all over the place, but I am used to it.

i am glad you posted that, my car seems to being doing the same thing. my car has 242,000 miles on it, original engine and tranny, I will just throw some duck tape around it, to act as a buffer, and quiet it down:)

if it is the tensioner than it is not hard to replace especially if you did the timing belt yourself.

I would think that you would be better off putting the money into the stock market being as low as it is. You could come out ahead once you graduate.

that is sweet, i have the same exact car, hardly ever use the a/c, but it is still nice to have when there is company in the car.

yeah the o2 sensor removal socket is worthless as tits on a boarfrog. I had to beat the hell out of mine, but i just manhandled it with a pair of smaller channel locks grabbing the sensor. then I had a large pair of channel locks that i used to clamp down the first pair of channel locks...

Does anybody know where to download the factory service manual's for our car, for FREE? I got one for my nissan for free and it is sweeeet.

I beleive they are all the same tranny i would call your local junkyard they should be able to look in there computer and tell you for sure. maybe even that auto parts store.

sorry i never torque to the spec's, but hey I am ghetto like that. I tighten until i think that it is tight enough and it usually works for me, that sucks though dude. i would take it to the auto parts store i figure that would work better than trying to order online, at least it will be...

dude look at my post where they posted the pictures. the marks on the 1.6 should be facing at the 45 degree mark.

that sucks you live in a communist state that will make your car not have codes in order to pass, what a bunch of crap. for starters the codes are common amongst our vehicles. I have the same egr code, i just drive it anyway. I am getting 400 miles or more a tank with my 1.6 with all original...

that is weird, are you sure something is not jamming it up? I had a bolt come loose and jam the power steering/ a/c belt one time before. I cant imagine would would jam it up like that, and if it was jammed then how would it start in the first place? i would think that it would immediately cut...

is it normal to have a drum that does not want to go on without force after changing the rear shoes? this is actually the first time I have ever had to change drum brakes and it is kind of a pain in the (_I_)
