I FOUND IT!!!!!

From Manual:

To disengage Service/Valet Mode: Turn the ignition to the ON position, press and hold the brake pedal and press the START button on the remote control transmitter 3 times. The system will flash the parking lights and beep horn ONE time indicating the system has exited Service/Valet Mode.

FYI To enter Service/Valet Mode its the same except confirmation is 3 horn beeps.

Another thing which is cool:

CAR FIND: Press and hold START button for 2 seconds and the system will flash and honk horn 6x.

Which manual are you looking at? I’d like to find a copy.

I had the same problem, pushed button twice after reading this and it worked!

I have the same problem, I can get the valet mode on and off and it it works exactly as explaind in other posts and in the manual, however, the remote only starts the car when it is in my hand in the car.

This makes me believe that there is something minor, which should be an easy fix, but what would that be?

I was given a quote of $950 before taxes to install an new remote start. Seems crazy to purchase a new one when the remote still works when I am very close to the sensor in the car.
