Ahh, interesting! Funny about the wrong coolant, I wonder if using a different coolant could cause some type of mild corrosion, or deterioration of head gasket and cause a small weep.

By the looks of your wear metal values, everything seems great and will likely last a long time!

I'll likely try and do them until i'm out of warranty and then try not to care. I love and hate owning a newer car. Sometimes I wonder if it would be better to just lease a Toyota, do the bare min maintenance and toss it at the end.

I thought the leak had something to do with the generic Peak formula that I used to refresh the cooling system. The lab tech didn't think they could do that in such a short period of time. And I only used enough to fill the radiator.

Is there a Toyota that you like? I love the look of rugged Toyotas but absolutely don't need a vehicle of that caliber. My next car is going to be the Slate EV. 😁

Thanks so much! I am keeping my Mazdas no matter what. Just don't want to worry about coolant leaks or coolant in oil any more. 😅

@Z31 I asked the lab analyst who sent my last report about Ryan's article and was told that the problem hasn't been resolved. The Mazda3 is under warranty and there isn't enough leak for the dealership to pinpoint the fault. He's monitoring the level.
