Oil change schedules at low mileage

:
2016 Mazda CX-5 Sport & 2025 Mazda CX-5 2.5 S
I just bought a new 2025 CX-5 S back on Sept. 28th, 2025. Have only driven about 2,400 miles on the car. The dealer gives three years of maintenance. Should I get the oil changed in the next month making it a six month oil change?

When I get a brand new car, I change the engine oil the first time at approximately 1,000 miles, then go to my normal intervals after that.
If the dealer provided the initial maintenance, the first one was on me.

I'm basically in the same situation with my 2016. When I first purchased it I had the first oil change at 3,500 miles then each one after at apprx. 1 year.
At 11 years next month it has 49,600 on the odo.

I'm in the habit of doing an "early" first oil change. After that I'd do it yearly, or twice a year depending on mileage.

I’m fascinated how some new owners don’t know the service interval but up to 3yrs later they can remember they have a warranty (and probably voided it by not getting it serviced as per the warranty).

Isn’t a new vehicle like this is too much of an investment to not know this sort of thing?

If you take it to the dealer they might tell you it's too soon, as the schedule in your manual might recommend 7.5k miles or 12 months for the oil change. But a person could change it anyway. Maybe change the oil but keep the OEM filter.
