High Mileage CX-5s - report in

Who has the highest mileage on their CX5?

As of January 2021 I have 280,000 km (~174,000 miles) on my 2016 2.5L CX5 GT bought with 176,000 km (~109,000 miles) in April 2019 at a dealer.

Replaced:
Front wheel bearings - used car warranty
Front & rear brake discs & calipers - normal wear & tear
Front headlights - under warranty

2016.5 Touring with 71,000 miles reporting in. So far, the only real issue I have at the moment is the radiator fan/blower motor chirping seemingly caused by the cold temperatures (20 - 40f). Other than that, nothing significant.

2016.5 GT AWD w/ 99,499 miles. Transmission replaced at 28k under warranty. Nothing major after that. Following regular maintenance intervals.

2017 Sport AWD 94,000 miles. Other than having to replace my battery due to not driving it for 3 weeks and negative temperatures, absolutely no issues.

I own a 2013 CX-5 GT with 78,000 miles. Plan to take her on a few long trips soon. I will post some updates. No issues atm besides a faulty tire pressure sensor.
Update: Just passed 105,000. Still solid. New winter tires cause I live in wny. As a result I spend alot on rotors/brakes/tie rods. Keeping up on oil changes is yuge and having a car guy helps. She has never left me stranded in the cold. Taking her to Iowa next month to the field of dreams site. I'll update with a pic if I'm successful.

All this talk about atf replacement. I realize I haven't done that maintenance to my automatic. Since I'm over 100,000 miles now should I plan to do that soon?

I think it's a good idea. I just recently did mine at ~113,000 miles. Drain/fill ATF 3 times, using Mazda OEM fluid, and on the last fill I also dropped the pan, replaced the strainer, and re-sealed the pan with Mazda OEM sealant. Doing 3 drain/fills gets the total concentration of original fluid down to about 11%, since less than half the total fluid will drain out, or just over half when you drop the pan.

2014 6 spd manual checking in at 366000kms. Bought it new. Only issues I’ve had were rear brakes seizing up 3 times. Replaced rear calipers once, front wheel bearings as a pair. Everything else still original. I guess keeping it maintained with regular maintenance will keep it running for the foreseeable future. It’s now my long distance travel wagon for when I have to commute to the local base 1.5hrs away. Been trying to sell but everyone thinks a high mileage car is a basket case. Oh well still works great for me!

Impressive!!!

Anyone beat merc3065 for mileage?

366,000km (227,421 miles)

Here is a '13 Touring AWD - 277,923 miles (~447,274 km)

not without engine rebuild or swap you mean :)
Yeah the Skyactiv engine is great engine without the turbo and the cylinder deactivation crap.

I forgot about this older thread.. a '16 with reportedly 294k miles

Looks like from URL the VIN ---> jm3ke4dy6g0679033

We’re about to break the 100k mile barrier on our ‘13 Sport FWD. We bought her in October 2012 and we’re at ~97,500 miles. Just finished washing and waxing today.

-I’ll change the transmission fluid at 100k miles by doing another 3x drain and fill. I did that at 50k miles and want to do it again. I’ll likely change the transmission filter at that point as well, and flush the coolant (even though it’s not technically due until 10 years/120k miles, Ill be doing a lot of work already).
-Serpentine and water belts were changed at 68k miles and still look good.
-The KYB aftermarket shocks and struts I installed at the end of 2019 are still awesome.
-My Akebono ProAct ceramic pads and CarQuest painted rotors are continuing to perform flawlessly from 68k miles as well.
-The Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires I installed at around 90k miles are also performing incredibly well. They have fantastic wet performance and I’d purchase again in a heartbeat.

108k miles on my 2014 now. Runs great.

Factory rotors are at end of life. Was told last time they got turned that they are done for that. Going to look at replacing those and putting on some new pads maybe sometime in January.

EDIT: Also will probably do transmission fluid again at around 110k.
