I did actually, got a muffler shop to cut it out and replace with a straight-pipe for like $50.

honestly, not that much of a difference. slightly more engine sound, slightly more exhaust sound, maybe 1-2HP gain at full throttle. engine breathes and responds a tad better but nothing major to write home about.
