Question on the TWM shifter

Does the P5 TWM shifter fit a MSP?? Because looks like the P5 shifter lets the boot inch closer to the shiftknob.

I have installed a razo shiftknob on my stock MSP and it has a 1inch gap between the boot and the shiftknob. I'd like to get rid of that.

Take some electrical tape and wrap it around the shifter under the boot. It'll raise the height of the boot and won't rattle (bonus!).

electrical tape will never hold with VA 90degree weather.

wouldn't the p5 short shifter work since the boot stop is mounted higher then the msp?? i have a universal shiftknob so i'm not worried about the treading.
