The emergency brake is gone on the 2016, it's now a parking brake only. Like having two 'PARK's, one on the transmission shifter and one in the center console.

The HANDLE is gone, it is now just a switch... But you can still turn it on in an emergency while moving, or to perform stunts....
Here is a good thread on this same forum that explains it. It just replaced the Lever and your Arm muscle, with a switch and a motor.

Glad to find one or two people here who appreciate adaptive headlights. They are great and are also one of the main features I want in a car.
You can try looking for a phone mount that you can just set on your dash. I have one from Spigen but it is not that great. You stick it on the dash but it just comes loose when cornering LOL. I currently use it with an old phone for monitoring so it's not a big deal. I have a magnetic phone mount for my main phone that I use Waze on, I stick it to the lower left of the windshield.

My wife loves the electronic parking brake on the 2016 CX-5 because it is easier for her to use it. She used to have trouble using the regular parking brake on our old Mazda3. Not sure what else you are going to use the ebrake for, unless you are going off-road or you are doing some stunts. The 2016s also come with hill-start assist, so you don't even have to use the ebrake for when you are starting up on a hill.

Actually many people here appreciate the AFS available from Mazda CX-5 in addition to LED headlights. In fact, the availability of LED lightings with AFS is one of the major reasons why we bought a 2016 CX-5 GT with Tech!
Now I wish we would have even more sophisticated Adaptive LED Headlamps (ALH) available soon on new CX-5's.

Yes, my M4 has it, it's called "Anti-Dazzle" but it's coded out for the NA Market. I'm going to get it activated when I get it coded for other features.

Toyota、Audi、BMW and Mercedes have filed the petition to NHTSA / DOT for allowing this advanced adaptive LED matrix lighting system 3 years ago. We're still waiting while every other region in the world can enjoy this great safety feature!
