Lights on vehicle departure at night ?

The manual said something about keeping the light switch at a certain position so when you depart the vehicle at night the lights delay before shutting off? I'm not following the manual, can someone explain?

Also - some sort of vehicle light locator or something like that?

Am I off here?

Different model years function differently and there are also differences based upon trim level and option packages. It would be of great assistance if your profile indicated which model and year instead of simply declaring "CX-5".

All Owners Manuals are available online so, given the correct information, I would be happy to look it up for you. I find the manuals to be very precise (but of course English is my first language).
