Sorry, nothing doing yet. Got sidetracked this weekend getting firewood ready for the coming week. I don't get home until after dark so it will be this coming weekend at the earliest.
Is there anyone with a newer (2010+?) 2.5 liter Mazda5 and a cold air intake??

Why won't something for a Mazda3 work? The 3 and the 5 are suppose to be based on the same platform. Maybe compare photos of the two engine bays? Maybe find a picture of a 3 with an intake and compare?

resurrecting this old thread, but I just picked up the "rare" Corksport SRI/CAI combo that they produced for the 2.5L mazda engine off someone on ebay... If the CAI doesn't work, the SRI should work per tuanies post. mine will be red w/ black filter stock photo:
Yeah, looking at that, I don't think the stainless tubing will clear the frame/bumper brace. I had to go really low to get under it to bring my secondary air intake back up above a potential high-water line. BTW, the main goes to the front and feeds air from next to the radiator. But with the airbox and how low I had to go, I think it could be more than 18" to clear the frame.

Good info to have. I really wanted to pick up the cork sport SRI for the 2.5L but found this and thought I'd give it a whirl. Sounds like the CAI portion won't work but I still will take a look and report back.
