NEMOC Random BS Thread

moved into the RV park this afternoon. Setup and got the rig leveled. More work to do over the weekend. Work is going well, but i'm beat by the end of the day. Looking forward to some down time this weekend.

So, hey... any of y'all autocrossing w/ the NER SCCA this weekend?

I ask because I'm currently in Mass, and it appears I have this Sunday free. I KNEW I should have brought my camera and helmet with me :D

i wish, i want to do some club racing one of these days..the autox is sat and my car is in a half million pieces right now..and parts on order are delayed because baltimore is upside down right now :(

Really, half a million?? Man you old guys exaggerate a ton.

Did some more work on the RV site, still needs more, cleaning the site and putting the RV to bed for 5 months. Car is so dirty, just don't have any time or energy to clean it.

You know it's Springtime when there are engine bay pics with parts scattered about. :)

So how was everybody's Monday? I found out tonight that I don't have enough rhythm to do the running man. hahahahaha

Great write up on the open wheel experience 6speed! Sounds like tons of fun. Believe it or not, that simulator experience really puts you ahead of everyone else, and real track time is icing on the cake. I can't believe people were spinning the cars left and right.

The REPU is out and about for the season. Drove it to work today and meeting Oleg for some beers. I've been giving thought to another project though. I just don't know what. I miss the sports car experience. The truck is cool and its utility is great, especially with all the biking I do, but I want something I can romp on. I just don't know what I want...and finding a place for it will be a challenge too...unless its something I don't mind storing outdoors.

Anyway, I thought I'd chime in and mention Amanda and I are heading to Limerock for Memorial Day. I know it's not the big Grand Am, err I mean Tudor yah dah yah dah series, but its usually a nice weekend and we don't have any other plans. Let me know if any of you are planning to go.

Trans am is actually a fun series. I think you'll enjoy it over memorial day.

My video from Bertil Roos. Clip starts middle of lap 13 just before someone else spins in front of me, and 14 was my fastest lap.

I got back home to PA Sunday with my 8. I've missed it so so much. Good trip across the country. 10 hours a day 3 days in a row and I was only slightly tired. Then a 5 day stop at my sister's to work there for the week, then 11 hours to my other sister's, then 6 home. That car just doesn't wear me out.

This morning before driving it in to work.

Yeah, pretty much. Except it failed inspection due to front pads too low. Interim owner burned them down at the track. No biggie. I wanted different pads on anyway. New rotors and pads (carbotech XP12s) on the way.

Easy fix.

Changed the brake fluid and the front pads, greased the sliders. Getting ready for my 1st lapping event on Saturday.

Well I ordered the wrong size silicone couplings so another day lost hopefully the right ones will be here today and I can get the car back on the road this weekend!

Had a great lapping day on Saturday. Was a lot to take in at first but slowly became comfortable a the day wore on.

Only issue was the clutch slipping. Looks like a new clutch and flywheel are next.

So I am taking a new position in the company and will be moving to Louisiana soon. This position has the possibility for more growth and I think is better suited for me. No more traveling all the time.

It started off as a side comment asking what would it take to get me here full time... I said a significant pay raise (I actually gave a dollar amount) and they agreed plus more.... So this means no more crashing at my place for Petit. Sorry folks!
