Possible incentives/deals for Memorial Day?

First post! Been lurking around for quite a while now and looking to expand the family Mazda fleet with a CX-5.

I was wondering if anyone has information on possible Mazda incentives and deals for Memorial Day Weekend? I don't mind waiting a few weeks if it'll save some money...

I have no idea if/what they'll be offering, but almost always dealers offer some form of extra incentives during holidays such as Memorial Day. I myself will be checking out deals for that day/week to see what they offer for the CX-5. It may not be much I have a feeling, but you never know.

I bought mine on the last day of May, last year, and they were bending over backwards to make the deal on that day. The 2016's are already arriving on their lots, so, your better bet is to deal on a 2015, but, on the last day of the month I think you're more likely to get a better deal, even on a 2016.

The 2015 CX-5's should have already all gone by now as Mazda had offered heavy incentives for 2015 CX-5's since 2016 CX-5's were arriving in late February.

In my area, Chicago suburbs, there are still 2015's on the lot with heavy discounts.

2015s are basically gone. Maybe 1-2 left at each dealer tops. Wanting a 2016 anyways. I am hoping for 0.9% and maybe double rebates. *crosses fingers*

Hello, first post here as well! I too have been following the CX-5 for a while now and finally joined. I haven't bought yet but am looking to real soon.

FWIW, when I bought my 2016 CX5 Touring AWD, after checking the prices on truecar.com I emailed all the Mazda dealers in my area (eastern Mass.) telling them what I was looking for: $1000 below MSRP plus $500 loyalty discount. I also told them I would be trading in a 2014 with the mileage and condition. This was essentially the same deal I had gotten 2 years ago when I bought my 2014 CX5. I also told them I would probably be in the market for the new 2016 Miata when it comes out and I would go to them first, so they had the potential for selling two cars to me.

Many dealers told me they'd be losing money if they sold it to me at that price because the only incentive Mazda had at the time was the owner loyalty (yeah, right...). One dealer replied with "no problem". I visited them the next day and within the hour arrived at final pricing and left them a deposit.

I special ordered a 2016 CX-5 GT AWD w/Tech in February for $30K, $1,855 below MSRP, including Presidents Day $500 cash back. A friend of mine got a 2016 CX-5 GT FWD w/Tech from dealer's lot in early April for $27,500, $3,105 below MSRP including Dallas Auto Show $500 cash back and Owner Loyalty $500 bonus. I imagine Mazda will offer some sort of cash back during Memorial Day period.

You should always be able to get at least $1,500 below sticker. That should be your ending bid, not your opening bid.

anyone have a list of the holidays that Mazda typically has deals/incentives on?

Most likely going to be the same holidays as any other car company. They're all usually all on the same page when it comes to holiday incentives.

Just two weeks ago the dealer I had BT module swapped at had '15's everywhere. Only two '16s on the lot. There had to be 25-30 15's on the lot.

Mazda is currently offering 0.9% financing on 2016 CX-5 for 36 months. But back when they had 0% on the 2015 some people reported getting a 60 month term.

Last July I got mine for 0% for 5 years... IIRC even 72 month was offered at that rate. No trade and at $60 above invoice. Doc fee was like $75 too.

I bought my 2015 during the Labor Day 2014 sale (bought August 30, took delivery September 2) and got 0% for 63 months.

I bought my 2015 CX5 last July. I was going to pay cash for it until they mentioned I could finance it at 0% for 5 years. I remember the old days when a buyer could either take advantage of a low interest rate promotion or get a substantial cash rebate.

Yes, keep money in a good stock for the 5 years and take the 0%/5Y financing. I could not get a deal like that on my CX5 but, did a 0.9% on my CX7. I bought Apple stock instead of buying the CX7 outright. Win Win. I have the mentality that if you can't pay cash, then you can't really afford it. Ed

You probably paid $200 to $300 in finance charges to setup the loan, probably still ahead at 0% for 60 months??
