Finally happened - shirt torn caught in seltbelt clasp

Many times I've gotten my shirt caught in the selt belt clasp when I buckled up. This time it ruined my shirt. This could be cured if clasp extended one inch higher. First car I've owned where this happens all the time. Anybody else get their shirt caught while buckling up?

This time it ruined my shirt.
After seeing the image of that shirt, I'm trying to figure out if you're complaining about the seat belt clasp, or if you are thanking it for tearing that shirt.

With that busy pattern, one would not notice any repair stitching ( assuming white thread).

You should be praising the CX5 for ruining that shirt. It did what you should have done.

And no, this has never happened to me with any seat belt ever.

Your situation is (sad1)

My 4 year old buckles his seatbelt without putting a hole in it, the seatbelt isn't your problem.
