Morning.
Anyone know a driveshaft shop in the area that would be able to rebuild the FC's driveshaft? It feels out of ballance and like one of the Ujoints is loose. I'd like to avoid the catastrophic failure the last one had.
89 was the first year of the S5. I thought all the drivetrain stuff was the same between S4 and S5 and it was turbo vs. n/a that had the differences. I've got an aluminum one, which is why I don't need the stock one anymore.I can't remember the cutoff, but isn't 89 S4? S5 is a different length as they changed the pumpkin. I'm not really able to purchase a new aluminum one from Driveshaft shop right now, which is what I'd really like to do.
NVM, i see same OEM part number, what do you want for it? It's atleast worth a shot and an hour of work.

Same as before. I don't need so whatever will cover shipping is fine. Shipping may be pricey due to its size though.
Trends gonna trend. Remember when the GenPu MS3 came out and everyone had a boner for their wheels? Ivan's GenWon came with a set and I think he sold them for $800 bucks. Now they are around half that or less.
I've never really seen the point of people buying OE wheels. They always just look kinda meh to me. No offense, of course.
I always liked the look of the 19" RX-8 R3 wheels. I actually think they'd look pretty good a new 3 or 6. Ford's got some nice 22" wheels on the Edge Sport that I think would look good on the Flex (20" right now) but I'm told they weigh over 40 lbs!I've never really seen the point of people buying OE wheels. Yeah, I'm about an hour-and-a-half away from Columbus. It's not a bad drive but I don't see myself going up there any time soon. Fortunately I still have the box the aluminum driveshaft came in so that helps. I'll measure it when I get home and come up with an estimate. Never got to drive the car with the Al driveshaft but they appear to weight about the same. I'll check again when I have them side-by-side.If only you were in Columbus, I'm at least in the area every once in a while.
Anyways, let me know what it cost to ship, and I'll paypal you again.
Did you get to drive the car with the aluminum? I'm interested if there is a difference.
I never understood the desire for the generic RX-8 wheels. The R3's on the other hand...When I had a MS3 people were asking crazy prices for RX8 wheels.
lol! You shut your ***** mouth.
I don't really think RPF1's are baller anyway. I classify those Work Equips and TE37's baller. But I would never pay more than $1k for wheels. That's just silly.
edit- ninja'ed by Jon. Sho is the *****, not you, buddy. But high five for being a nice guy and sending out free parts to another member in need.

LOL RPF1's FTW!
At this point I'd give away most of the spare RX-7 parts I have to anyone - all they'd have to do is ask. The storage unit is starting to cost me more than what I'm making on parts. Since most of this stuff is NLA I rather it go to someone in need than toss it.
They're not my first choice but in my case I did get a pretty good deal out it. I bought the rx-8 wheels and got a wagon and 2 sets of wheels free![]()
I'm just jealous, Evan. Watch out, I'll steal them when you're sleeping
Ha, it's probably better for me to ask what you're looking for. I've got a bunch of crap. Most of it's from the 86 S4 but I've got some goodies like a front subframe with manual steering rack, Mazdaspeed engine and transmission mounts, spare transmission, two sets of stock wheels, etc. What else do you have?
