The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Everyone knows how I am with wheels. Thats a tough one. And the neon 's trunk is still stuck so it's getting really annoying.

Anyone know what S-Plan pricing is on a CX-5? Not that it matters for me until I get my MMS membership up to date with some results.

And if there are any 2013's left, you're likely better off not even trying S-Plan. My sister got her 2013 3 for $17k out the door. S-plan price was around 19,500.

If anyone wants a new Mazda there is a guy in Medina that has helped me, baby Marc and my mom get amazing deals on just about anything. He got the s-plan pricing for me down to invoice then they took rebates, and discounts off. He said he will work to get the best deal for anyone I bring to him. Good guy

^^^ That doesn't sound shady at all, Patrick. ;)

What are everyone's plans for the weekend?

Tonight I'm hitting le cookout at Track First. Tomorrow I'm helping Marc do some wiring on the RX7 race car. Sunday, Dave and I will be doing my brake pads, rotors, fluid and SS clutch line. Then a tune next weekend and I'll be done wrenching on Fatty!

Oh, and I'll be picking this pressure bleeder up from Summit if anyone with an MS3 or MS6 wants to borrow it. I'll have the direct adapters for those two brake fluid reservoirs.

Changing the oil on the truck, replacing the fuel filter and adding some injector cleaner. Maybe that'll fix the hesitation, even though it seems to be gone now.

Today I am getting a portion of my parts back so I will be putting those on.
Saturday I am putting the rest of my parts on and hopefully driving the ms3. Also doing a valve cleaning and occ install on a very dirty ms6
Sunday is my boring hw day. But will be filled with logs and maps!

$712 off MSRP. Money off is money off, but i thought it was like 2-3K when we bought the 6 back in '06

That's where we bought our 6 brand new from back in 06, it was not a very pleasant experience, but i can't complain of the friends i met in the following years! Hopefully they've done some personnel changes, I may consider it when we start looking to buy her CX5 in the following years.

I can't talk for the other sales men but the guy named Dave (he is 26) is really nice and will do whatever to get someone a deal.

Whose bright idea is it to use the allen wrench & normal wrench combo on endlinks? Every single one that i've had to do, I've had to cut off or engineer some way to get these things off. Last night when the nut wouldn't come off one of the endlinks, i broke the back plate off the endlink & used a pair of vice grips on the pivot point & an impact gun on the other side to get the bolt off. 1 of my replacement links has a 18mm wrench grip point instead of a little allen wrench point inside the bolt. Why couldn't it be like that from the factory?!?

Our sales guy was Kevin & he knew nothing about the car he was selling us. The sales manager was trying to take advantage of us by not giving us our s plan pricing even though i knew what the price was. Medina is about the same distance away from us as Mike Bass, so maybe we can work something out when the time comes.
