The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Anyone else have cool job perks?
Company I work for owns a golf course, season tickets to Indians and Cavs, and has membership to a trap shooting range. Get to go any time I want to any of it if the tickets or times are available. Going to Hill and Dale Shooting range this Friday

Just went to Hill and Dale for a work outing last Wednesday. It was a blast.

Hell yeah it is! I suck at golf and love to shoot so I always choose to go there when given the option

I work just down the street from Hill and Dale. We had a lunch and learn out there bankrolled by a supplier, and their trap courses are awesome but hard. I wish I could afford a membership there, but its damn expensive.

I think it's $1000 a year for trap only. Then they have other memberships that include fishing and hunting. I have no idea if that is good or not though.

My boss was telling me that their long course is in the top 20 in the country.

I hate golf. Haha. And I played for 4 years in high school and was actually pretty good.

So can you go to Hill and Dale whenever you want?

I don't have a problem with it! I'm not even sure where that is. Can you link to the Google map perhaps?

Here's a bigger map. The town at the top of the blue loop is Zanesville, bottem of the loop is Parkersburg WV.

This link does a time-elapse compression of the 555. Not quite a tail of the dragon but looks fun. Best to skip ahead to about 3:40min. 9 min vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rAViB_hGxc

Seems to be a lot of great roads south of Lancaster. Other recommendations?

1000 plus either $20/round 50 (ammo not included) or 100/month for clay membership which i think is unlimited clays (ammo not included). That doesn't include the 10/friend for guests. That's way out of my price range.

We used to... then we went publicly traded and lost just about every cool thing we had, including nice bonuses and raises. Work load increased, workforce decreased, and available manhours per project decreased.

Nate, go with HPS pads. They're great pads for daily driving and spirited driving. They held up well at auto-x. I'll be swapping them on the Ford here sooner or later. Just make sure you get the right pads with the anti-rattle clips.
Brake install day sometime in the future?
We should set up a fun run soon...
+1

Free tickets to 3 or 4 Blue Jackets (Hockey) games, more games were offered. We usually get tickets to Clippers (Indians AAA Baseball) in the summer and the occasional Crew (Soccer) Tickets, but those are more rare. Other tickets or discount tickets to random things. We have a bunch of other discounts but none I need.

Plus banking perks, My mortgage rate was .375% less than going rate (extra .25% for doing ACH too). Most of our banking perks are just little things like no fees for the on checking accounts that earn interest and things like that.

Where I work I have access to a full machine shop, hydraulic lift, and soon a dyno.

$15 a week to spend on car washes, free tickets to march madness NCAA (since we sponsor it), among other things. Still finding new stuff we get every week

Nice! I love hearing about perks. I won't be at this place much longer so the perks will go away but hopefully some new awesome ones will come with the new position

I'm able to use a work truck pretty often, have borrowed my boss' car hauler trailer, we have a 4 wheeler, can go down to the boss' cabin to hunt too.

I can drive anything we have on the lot. I can borrow anything I need, like a truck to haul a tree or while my car is being serviced. I get tickets to the Columbus Auto Show and Clippers tickets.
