Lewis7789 MS6 GT build thread

I still have to relocate the washer reservoir to the passenger side, pull the oil temp/press wiring through the firewall and mount the gauge, and I'm sure a few other minor things.

Then the next free weekend I'll put on the new rotors and HP+ pads, install the CS SS clutch line and bleed the system. Then Mark Gibson will be tuning it then I should be done with mods for a while. :)

Funny oopsies of the installs:

Went to fire up the car Saturday night to check for leaks and it wouldn't run. Killed the little Braille battery trying to start it again and again. Turns out one of the lines to the oil catch can wasn't hooked up. Oops.

Drive the car down the street and heard a wump-wump-wump sound and was over heating. Pulled back into the garage and I forgot to attach the pass side splash shield. Oops. EGR block off plate tube to the turbo was missing a hose clamp so sprayed coolant all over the firewall. Oops.

Trimming the front bumper was all done, I lost the pigtail to the pass fog light and forgot to plug the side markers back in. Oops.

lol!

Leave the Crack alone, Sho has you hooked!!! LOL

those effin aluminum intake manis are evil.. ugh.

And I feel you on the "oopsies." Had plenty of those in my days. :)

LOL. I dunno why I even said anything. Just one of those days.

Sweet!

This was a little victory in my battle against wiring. I freaking hate wiring. Now I just need to get Jake to set the temp parameters for me since I don't know jack about technology. lulz

Evan and wiring definitely don't see eye to eye. Nicely done!

If I didn't have practice I would come help. If I can do it, you can easily. haha

Haha I hope so I don't typically mess with wires lol. Too much stuff can go wrong. But I am just going to go with an add a fuse and tap into something. Not quite sure yet. But thanks for the confidence though

Ooooh, no no no. Don't use one of those. Those things suck. I cut the common power that was used for my mirror (that was replaced with a non-power mirror and Broadway mirror I traded with Wes) then twisted that and a wire for power to the gauge together and used a closed end connector, crimped them with all my might (97lbs of torque) then sealed it up with liquid electrical tape (best thing evar!).

I'm free Saturday and come come over and show you the orange power wire I tapped into near the inside fuse block, if it's the same on the MS3's.
