I am ordering a haltech 500 the middle to end of April. My bottom end has been balanced to with in a 1/2 a gram on the rotating assembly. My questions are.... Does the haltech allow for a great rpm rev limiter. Second question I am looking into a dual valve spring set up, do I need to order the titianm retainers with it aswell or can I just run the springs with stock retainers?

the dual valve springs do not fit with stock retainers. the replacement retainers allow the ability for fitting inside the dual springs since there are two springs, inside diameter is smaller.. if you keep stocks.. youll have to have them machined.

i went with the dual valve springs and was so late into the engine build that i had to remove inner-spring and just use the outter spring with stock retainers.. ultimately, it still is an upgrade though.. the stock springs had a.. (correct me if im wrong anyone) 90lb retension whilst the dual valve springs WITHOUT the inner spring gave me 115-120 lb

sorry, cant help with haltech though

Haltch allows you to raise the rev limiter as high as you want it's capability is mainly limited by how accurate the trigger and home sensors are rather then the ecu it self.
