Didn't think to take pics, but 3 2x8x8 will fit from front to back between the seats and you can shut the hatch, all though gear selection can be a challenge (automatic)
Should have taken more photos of it loaded up!, Anyway, just returned from a 10 day camping trip to Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park near Parksville on Vancouver Island. Loaded the car up with the wife, myself our twin two and half year olds whole bunch of camping gear and... towed a small tent trailer loaded up with even more camping gear!
The 5 did very well! Actually much better than expected! Only downside was the ferry price was quite high because of the extended length (27 ft) (Pic from the ferry line-up)
No picture but I've managed to buy and store clearance building materials ive found over the last three weeks in preparation for warmer weather. 48 ft of 2x4, 16 ft of 2x6 and 210 lbs of quickrete. Adjustable headlamps finally came in handy with all that squat and the seat belt makes a good tie down strap. Finally the size of the 5 vs the 3 is showing its benefit to me as I now feel like I'm a driving around in a camper shell.
Yes, you can. I recently moved a new dryer in the box and there was plenty of room to fit another one. At first, I assumed the box would have to be "inserted" in the length of the car (top of the machine at the front of that car and the bottom at the end), but it turned out it fitted across. With the second row seats slided forward, there was more than enough room for another box
I love that car
Better ask the dimensions on those appliances. Some European models are much smaller than 'murican models. We have bigger britches from all the cheeseburgers I guess.
