NEMOC Random BS Thread

That looks awesome Bruce....I haven't see that green stuff on the ground in weeks. haha The drive looks like it was fun too. ;)

Supposed to get hit with 14-22" here if you believe the weatherman. I'm on the first response team at work and they just set up an account with VOLO Recovery so I'll get weather alerts via text, email and phone. Got one earlier that we are in for a winter storm warning from 10pm Wed thru 1am Friday. Woohoo We are good with eseentials so you won't see my ass stepping into a grocery store. People up here are used to this s*** and it still gets crazy. ZOMG...snow buy all the effin bread and milk you can. Wish you luck Andy, that ice is no joke and fingers crossed you guys don't lose power although that video would be fun to watch. hehe

IMO we are going to get hammered....got word today from the small engine repair shop that my snowblower part was backordered and should be here in 1-2 days. FML

Hmm no pic??

Morning all. Hope everyone stays safe with the latest snow. Still raining here. Clearing tomorrow.

Off to Coca Beach tomorrow and returning Monday. Leaving the rig and taking the car. Visiting my brother and his wife for a few days.

That's a shame.. Sebring is a blast. The locals are a bit rowdy, but it is a great race to see in person.

I pulled this chunk of ice from the middle of the road. As of right now, it is still sleeting/freezing rain.

If I didn't just buy this car, it would have been easier for me. First payment is due March 21st, so I'm still working on making sure my new budget is all set.

Kyle, nice set , I got snowboard equipment though, got two boards online bc wasnt sure which one would make it in one piece from delivery and now im torn which one to keep lol.

Phen, what did you purchase ?

Mark you need something better then that small brush .. get the big red foamy one , got it on amazon for low $20 and it made cleaning snow fun and quick with very very low chance of scratching the paint unlike the brush one you have.

Sad thing is I got my snowboard set and this thursday I threw my back cleaning the massive snow so cant have fun for at least 2 more weeks and all this snow gowdness is going to waist :(

On a side note, anyone of you snowboarders can help with my delema of which of two boards I got to keep, theyre SIMS wrath (161cm, http://www.simsnow.com/portfolio/1314-wrath/ ) & 1112 protocol (161cm,
http://www.simsnow.com/portfolio/1314-protocol/ )

This would be first time owning my equipment and dont want to go by graphics but performance/durability... thnx in adv.

No you suck! lol Another storm coming through tonight and dropping 1-2" more inches on us and before it tapers off it could change to freezing rain. Oh joy.

Beautiful pic Chris.

did a day if skiing at killington saturday. so much snow on that mountain from the recent storm. conditions were so good for most of the day but got pretty bad from the snowboarders pushing a lot of snow into large bumps. still had a great time with the few falls i took. going night skiing this week and probably another trip to VT next sunday.

protege got 29.5mpg that trip. very happy with it but those high tanks dont always last one after another :(

The word on the street is that Snowboarding popularity is dwindling. Sales of new boards is very low. I think the downhill sport is struggling in general though. Global warming isn't helping. People are failing to see the value in paying $80-100 to freeze their ass off. Where does all that money for lift tickets go? Probably lawyers and liability insurance.

As for me? I picked up XC ski gear for about $250 at the end of last season. I've skied more this year than the past 10 years and I've only paid about $50 for lift passes on the days I want groomed trails. Oleg and I have gotten out a few times together. I'm enjoying back country skiing on the trails I usually mountain bike...and the best part, no lift ticket.

How did you all fare in *insert trendy name here* Snow Storm?

Had about a foot in most of my driveway. Drifted up to almost 2 in other places. The Fiat no likie the snow very much. I wish I had spare money saved up for another set of wheels for snow tires. Maybe next year.

I have given up on keeping track of how much snow there is. Looking out my front yard, there is a 5' tall baby spruce...it looks about half that height....aaaaand its snowing again.
