you are turning those on low speed aren't you?Turned some bushings for my rear link kit.

i need to tune my msp. all this bucking is making me upset when i try to go WOT. i think thats the only thing i like about my boy's ms3 . slam on that throttle and spool up to full boost without a brick wall.
Yeah those cars were actually designed to be boosted and it shows. I could never buy an MS3 though, too many faster rwd cars available for the money and they don't handle or feel like the MSP. An MSP with bolt-ons and about 11-12psi will outrun a stock MS3 until about 100-110mph when the Protege runs out of steam. The speed3 just keeps pulling all the way to 130-140.
^^ my protege pulls like a bat out of hell all the way to 130mph ish. pulls hard till tops out. like i can punch it at 100, and it jumps fast to 130.
yeah im a bit rich most of the time, for example i made a pull and the guy at the next stop light i thought he was gonna tell me to slow down.. no he just wantedto tell me how good my car smelled. lol said he could smell it with the windows up when i pulled passed him lol
yeah im straight piped making just under 300whp
Does the noise go away when you engage the clutch? It could be the pilot or throwout bearing on the clutch or even the input shaft bearing. Tranny will have to come out to replace these, probably best to install new bearings in your current trans vs. a used trans.alright. before i start to freak out a little bit.....
my transmission started to make some weird noise on the way home today. i started up to come home as usual and it wouldnt go into reverse for whatever reason... so i let the clutch out just a little bit and slowly slotted into reverse, which stalled the car.. started up and went as normal without a care but now the tranny seems to tick and whir whenever the clutch is out. if im sitting idling with the car in neutral you can hear it and at all times the car is moving. so i ruled out the clutch as a possibility there. is this a tranny bearing or somthing else that has gone out?
further to the point, whats cheaper... fixing this transmission or just trying to locate another transmission for a swap? i live in canada and my options seem pretty limited. the car goes just fine. the sound doesnt get worse with speed just faster frequency.
