I'm gonna say no, because I've never read anything from Mazda that would indicate it does. However you may get some other opinions on this.

On page 4-48 of the owners manual is listed a feature called Active Adaptive Shift (AAS), which adjusts shift points based on road conditions and driver input.

I bellieve this is only in the short term. ie: to make the vehicle perform better under current conditions which may be out of the norm. That's been my interpretation anyway.
