Megan Racing springs report update

What exactly are you trying to achieve or should I ask what stock component are you not happy with?

If you are fine with the ride height and carry 6 often, sticking with OE springs sounds like a good idea. If you are looking for better handling get some quality shocks and follow the Euro approach: over dampen + stiffer RSB. Good ride manners and good handling.

Thank you phunky, njaremka and everyone else that chimed in. I think that I will keep my MZ5 stock and just upgrade to KYBs when the time comes. I was actually on the fence about this mod because I actually do use all 6 seats pretty regularly so I was hesitant to lower it since it actually rides pretty low already.
Welcome. My stiffer springs cause me to sag less towards the ground with the same amount of cargo even though my unloaded ride height is over an inch lower in the back, and with the damping set up properly the ride isn't any more harsh than stock. It's more BMW/Benz-like... the bumps are there and you feel the road more, but the sharp impacts are gone and the comfort is still there.

Yup. This is the best if you don't care about ride height.

I'm not unhappy per say with any of the OEM components I just wanted a little stiffer ride not so much a lower one, because personally I think all Mazda5s sit relatively low and look good as they are. So I think you just reaffirmed the route I will take. Having the beefier 2012+ springs already and also the MS3 RSB all I need to focus on is quality shocks. It will be the best route because I have 2/3 of the equation already , meaning it will also be the most affordable route and it will also achieve my goal.

Now suggestions on quality shocks that will work with OEM height and springs? Also be mindful I'm not wanting to break the piggy bank.

That's easy bc you don't have much of a choice! It's either Koni FSD or Koni Sport (aka Yellows), both have lifetime warranty to original purchaser. I think the FSD will work better for you. The adjustability is overrated and the Sports are really mean for lowing springs and the shock adjustments are available to accommodate different springs. That said, you can go with the Sports and crank them full hard if you want sportier feel. Just becareful of a "jacking" phenomenon when you use overy soft springs with overly stiff shocks = bad ride. My opinion, FSD should meet your needs well.
