One of those STF builds

Hello guys I am currently working on building my daily driver(2013 mazda 2) into a somewhat competitive STF car for pro solo events and of course my local events . The local clubs I race with are SCCA NYR and Metro PCA both at Nassau Coliseum. Then I run with NNJR scca over at met life stadium. The big events I plan to do next season are NJ pro solo DC pro solo and Toledo pro solo.
I will be updating this thread with pictures and comments on anything that I buy.

Custom 2.25" in-the-tunnel cat-back starting at exit of OE catted exhaust manifold. Burns 17x4.5/2.25 muffler.

So lets see
Headunit
Well the head unit used to be in my wrx so its not new to me but I will say this about it. The stock speakers sound pretty good with this headunit . Samething happened with my wrx.
AWR motor mount
I am loving this mod ! The thing I noticed the most was how little the motor moves now. No more slapping around when you lift off the gas The car shakes a bit when you start it up but after that its pretty much like stock
Custom cat back exhaust
Super light and loud. i have a muffler repack kit on the way in hopes it tones it down a bit. If not I will just deal as it is very light and added POWER haha
Pedals
So worth it. I can heal toe like its nothing now. Best mod so far lol
Injen intake
Not sure I notice much of a difference in terms of power but I am sure a ecu tune will wake it up. As for sound well my exhaust is too loud to hear the intake haha.
Burns muffler repack
Made a huge difference in loudness. My car is much better now for daily driving. I am enjoying the cat back a lot
Lightweight Battery
Saved me 18 pounds OEM battery is 35 pounds by the way
Bilstein Coil over kit
I was surprised to find there are no noises or clunks coming from the shocks.The ride quality is good a little bit bumpy but not harsh over big bumps. You can definitely tell the car been modified. Cornering is flat now and there's very little understeer, it even has some lift off oversteer for easy rotation. The way the car changes direction is just awesome and the body roll has been dramatically reduced. All and all this is a great upgrade and I don't foresee any problems with using it for daily driving.
Tripoint Rear sway bar
I installed the bar and shocks at the same time so not really sure how much it helped but it sure looks awesome . I know I can use it to adjust rear toe so I need to play with a bit when its on the alignment rack again. UPDATE** The adjustment range I found was Total toe 0.96-0.36

Hey not sure I have seen your 2 around before. What club do you run with ? Also I am busy this Saturday and Sunday. My car wont be out till next year BTW

I run with SCCA and PCA at the Colusium and Tobay (Not as much as I would like to). I run the Blue 2 with gold steelies. Well cant wait till next season then for your 2 to make its autox debut. Need more B-spec cars to run at these events here.

So I installed the injen intake today and repacked my burns muffler. My car is much better now

Looks good Joe! I still can't wrap my ears around that exhaust. even with a repack, I don't have a set that big to drive that around!

I like the mount also, I don't have one yet, but did notice a tremendous amount of feel in throttle transitions with the mount in the ther test car yesterday.

The bilstein's have arrived . I also ordered the ARP bolts and nuts needed to gain extra camber when installing the front struts. Nuts ARP 300-8386 Bolts ARP 665-1006

My friend gave me the light weight battery so that install should be done soon as well

I have installed the injen sp intake like yours , i feel my demio more light when i push the gas pedal, anothe thing is the sound , i like when accelerate my car because sound like sport car. Thats my goal convert my mazda 2 in a light and fastest hatch for circuit and solo 1.

Wow, $816 is very tempting. I'll be really interested to hear your impressions of the Bilsteins, I was planning on just getting shocks to go with my springs but Bilstein has a great rep and the ease of coilover installation really appeals to me.
