The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

You guys don't have to "downgrade" your phone to get away from social media. Just stop using it.

Aj, you know I'm just kidding with you. :)

Correct! It's not the technology it's how people use it.

Begin phone story:
I'm in constant contact with my phone, i'd never get rid of it- i'm waiting for a text message. Someday... someone will send me a text message, and it will be awesome.

My phone's a samsung rogue- they quit making them in like 2009 or some crap because they suck. It uses a pressure sensitive touch screen, but after it's been in your pocket for like... well actually, the second you put it in your pocket the layers of the touch screen smash together and it goes into what i call, "Menu Mode". The only button that works is the menu button, and once you've gone into the menu, the button that backs out of the menu is in the spot on the touch screen that still works. The whole phone is made around the touch screen and when it's messed up it's pretty much useless. I can still take pictures and receive calls though, and that's good enough for me.

First rogue was $100 with our stupid plan, and when it's screen broke while i was on vacation in South Carolina i decided it was smart to spike it on the ground like a foot ball. I call that touch-downing, and you can touch-down all kinds of broken electronics.
2nd one was an ebay phone that was like $20- same problem, bought it anyways because i can't use anything else... it seems like it's either buy a stick/flip phone or something like an iphone (by the way... iphones weigh a ton.), and those options both suck.

I still like my phone though; we have fun- since it's almost useless now, i like to put it in the freezer over night to see if that will fix it, and while i'm hiking i use it to take pictures of mushrooms.
End phone story mode-

-Nate i'd bug you about buying some of your parts so they don't get buried in a backyard, but i haz limited money so you'd probably end up wanting to bury them more.

-Today i attempted to find a projector with a 2" lens at the pick-n-pull but my search turned up nothing. There was a couple, but they all had awfully chipped/pitted up lenses...
...also, the glass headlight cover on an old mercedes exploded on my leg when i tried to remove it, and it was not pleasant.

LOL im no hipster. I just prefer the way things used to be. i wish i didnt have a computer or a phone or a tv or any of that. i am actually strongly considering taking time off of school and going up the the upper peninsula and living out of a tent for a while, just to get back to the basics.

Don't eat the wrong berries.

Really? I thought the seats were similar to MSP's. It's been so long since I've seen an unmolested one. Everything else is pretty spot on. Aside from the idiot thinking it's a 1.6.

Or maybe the guy doesn't know anything about cars, reading the description. He also doesn't know how to use quotation marks correctly...

Jess, what is that?

maybe they are - i was thinking more like the ES seats than the speed ones.

the 1.6 is what threw me, plus there is no year listed.

I think the last one I rode in was Dino's beast... back in like... ummm 09 or so? Back when he was only making 330 at the wheels.

Jess, what is that?
it's like a cross between a dzus and an aerocatch, at least the concept is. It's a quick release latch--you push the middle and it pops off its retainer pin and the panel is free.

I tried taking some pics on our cruise down... Except little did I know my camera stopped actually taking pics when I got halfway up the line... :(

No guarantee these pics are great on a normal computer screen... Haha but they look ok on my phone!

Damn that P5 is in serious need of some lowering springs. It will look so much better when I get them installed. Thanks for taking the pic Jess.

It needs lowered to reduce that wheel gap, maybe. Could be good for an off road p5:

Today i was driving around with my parents out to newark to buy a mazda6 wiper switch, and then down to Corning for the Wildcat hollow backpack trail- On the way to the trail the roads are some bumpy gravel roads, and at one point one happened to be the legendary partially grass road (yes... legendary). I don't know if i was supposed to go down that road... my excuse is it shows up on my GPS so i'm allowed down it.

A 4x4 protege would be nice for those roads... or a 4x4 miata, whichever one, just something high up with a big tire... and maybe some wheel gap

edit: Oh, also... one more craigslist posting from me for the lolz

Yesterday, my flight home from Paris came across Lake Erie and over the top of Cleveland. I waved at Phen, but he didn't wave back. I am heartbroken, to say the least.
