The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I need to get caught up and chime in in a few things. My P5 has bigger rotors than stock, calipers have the same bore as stock. I'm not sure what that means for my penis though. Speed limit increase was discussed at the Patrol post where Jen works. The troopers all agree they will keep the same speed ceiling for writing tickets. Trust me they were being generous. Not so much now.

so what your saying is that now the "9 youre fine, 10 your mine" wont even apply for OH? haha

So what was the ceiling before? :D

That sucks, I was planning on attending as Lauri is going to have dinner with her friend. So anyone headed to the Wadsworth Meet tonight if it is still on?

How many other people were planning on going to the Gripped meet? I was planning on it if the weather stays nice. I need to get some top down cruisin' in.

Considering how fast I've been past on I71 I don't doubt this one bit.

For anyone planning on going to the Gripped meet tonight, they posted on Facebook they won't be having it at Sonic tonight.

Here's what they posted:

Bonnie Park off of Pearl is where GRIPPED will be meeting today.

That's odd, cause the point's structure didn't change. I.E. 10 over 0 points, 11 over 2 points.

It went good, but I probably won't hear anything until next week. It amazes me that people show up to testing/interview with mesh shorts and a t-shirt on. Knowing my luck they'll be the one that will get the job. Wait and see I guess.

If someone walked into my interview wearing something like that, I wouldn't even give them a chance. No matter how knowledgeable they are, professionalism is extremely important.

agreed, at the very least wear a pair of nice IRONED slacks and a button up/dress shirt haha

I'm not sure how to view the Gripped location change. If they're a club and their weekly meeting spot got overrun by ricers, drug dealers and morons who blast music with subs in their plastidipped Speed3's who get ticketed, then I'll just stay at home and let them get their own club spot back again. It's like being invited to a party or just showing up to a party. I just hope Dat Flex didn't tarnish the Mazda crew's reputation last week.

i had so much hope. he said he was going to leave them out because it felt like a 10 hp bump when he removed them for mid ohio

I'm just not into that scene in the least bit. Mismatched Plastidip panels, subs in the trunk, hard parking and 40 pulls street racing. Meh.

Believe it or not Jen told me they allowed 17 over (82 mph) when it was 65. I seriously doubt that, I may be mistaken since she was throwing a lot of numbers at me. Now they plan to use the same ceiling. They feel anything above that is too close to 100 mph and I agree with them.

disclaimer: The previous statement does not mean that you should feel free to run 82 mph on the interstate. If you do and then get pulled over do not use my name and tell them I said it would be ok. Doing so might cost Jen her job, just sayin'.

On another note. Larry got a box of motor mounts today! Now I just have to get them installed.

lol, I love the disclaimer, Larry. I'm totally going to do 82mph then get pulled over and say "But, but, but! Jen Hatfield said it was okay!". I usually just do 10mph over, I think that's a safe speed to not get pulled over. But I've gotten very lucky lately.

That front mount is a piece of cake, the others aren't bad. But that rear is a b****.
