Random question for u msp owners, anyone ever use a standard protege radiator Instead of the msp one? My radiator has a crack n I notice the one I picked up is larger, which isn't an issue bc I have a front mount so that area is empty. Figured the larger radiator would only benifit me anyways jst haven't ran across any threads on this

its not actually larger but yes its been done
Its longer yes, but the capacity is less. People in hotter areas have reported over heating in stop start traffic. you'll also need the right radiator brackets.

Oh ok .. Ya it's longer but did not compare capacity size.. Thxs for the info on it. What's the capacity on the msp radiator out of curiosity

When and where, I wouldn't be autocrossing it just watching if I go...
you need different brackets because the p5 rad isn't as tall. He said he had a FMIC so the SMIC would be removed with the leaky rad but yeah, can't have both p5 rad & SMIC.

What did I do to my msp today... Hmmm let's see I cracked racing harts on a pothole, irritated but looks like I ain't stancing racing harts anymore

so i installed the radiator anyways bc i needed to get home and yes i have a front mount so no side mount. i modified the stock brackets, it worked just fine. the fans took some time to get to fit perfect but i got those to work too.

Question....I can just reuse the tophats from the stock HPs right? I checked them and they are all in good condition.
is the spring perch on the illuminas the same as it is on the stock MSP blues? Same thing for the HP's... different spring perch than stock tokico blues right? Helpful info for when my struts blow and i've got to buy new struts and springs so my car's not lower in the back...
