What have you done to your MSP today?

Put some K-Sport coilovers this weekend, and now I have a problem. When I hit bumps it sounds like the rear end is slamming in to the back of the car, like a loud bang.

Any ideas of what it could be? I know I need to raise it up a bit, but what else could it be.

did you buy them used? is your preload adjusted properly?

For the preload I raised each wheel off the ground and loosened the collars that hold the spring. Then I tightened the collars against the spring until there was no movement, and locked the collars.

Is this correct?

So yeah, it'll fit on there and clear the hub, but we'd strongly recommend picking up hubcentric rings to take up the slack and eliminate unnecessary stress from the studs.

Rain visors, and got the roof and mirrors wrapped in cf

i found a set of hubcentric spacers with 67.1 CB, but wont the difference from the spacer to the rim bore still have slack or am I just not understanding

When you purchase them, there should be an inner and outer diameter measurement for the part. Inner being 67.1 and outer being the 73 mentioned earlier. I'd gladly help look for them for you but I'm extremely limited by China internet and work VPN right now.

Got the coilover issues fixed today.

Now I noticed under my passanger seat is VERY wet. Is this a common problem, and how do I fix this? My car is starting to smell like mildew.

Think I have found my problem! While the head was off we got to looking at the block and the head gasket that was on the car and it didn't look right, there was water/oil all over the gasket and looked like it was coming out the front of the motor. http://www.mazdaspd.com/manual_files/01-10b.pdf this website clearly says head bolt torque should be 16.5 lbs... I thought that was a little low so I got a new source and found out its 16 lbs then two more quarter turns. So putting the car back together tonight and torqueing it right this time and hopefully all my problems will be solved

That would be awesome... These are the only ones I can find, might be searching wrong but who knows... Or even spacers that'll fit the stock RH's bore and cars hub bore (aren't both in this case 67.1?)

This is what I found http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=380624149039

Nah... those are spacers. Not quite what you want just to mount the wheels. This is what I'm talking about.

http://www.summitracing.com/search/part-type/hub-centric-rings

That's the kinda thing you want just to fill the gap between the MSP hub and the center bore of the wheel. Doesn't look like they have the size you need, but it's a good example for you.

oh ok, but what if i decide to just put spacers on the RH's... Would the one i linked work

Oh yeah... if you're just running spacers on the RH, those are fine.

Ordered A new set of Tokico Illumina shocks from Amazon.

CR3 Motorsports and myself have discovered that Tokico is having supplier issues so most of their stuff is out of stock everywhere, especially the combo kit I wanted. The other issue we were having was that only 3 shocks were in stock most any place and one was on backorder indefinitely....On a whim I check Amazon and they had ONE LEFT of the corner everyone was out of....

Got luck there....good luck finding illuminas for the time being...no one has them.
