The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

My memory might be off but wasn't it subspeed who was going to sell his msm to Wes and then sold it to someone else from underneath him and the other two told Wes to grow up? ironic he's the one with p5. That's all I'm sayin.....

We had a giant down pour here for about 15 minutes with flash flooding everywhere but now the sun is out and shining.

True story! Looks like Wes got the last laugh. haha

we just got sprinkles or showers or whatever just a little south of you nate...
-I'm hoping we get another "micro-burst" so i can go outside and yell at my neighbors "IT'S A MICRO-BURST!!!"
...still tried to drive the 5 like i drive the protege: mazda5 in the rain slides a lot easier than mazda protege in the rain.
Got my wheel bearings back from car quest: $99 to press 'em both in with the hubs and what not... i "ouched". Harbor freight sells a 12 ton press for $120 or so... but we don't have room in the garage for a press i'll probably never use again -_- (or very often... i say not often, parents say never)

Since there's no press in the garage now... im'a fill up that room with other s*** like my bucket of rotting lettuce.

OJ is a great energy drink on it's own... for the energy drink topic.

Still more drama? (inout)

I'll come back in a couple days. :)

One more time you steal my line and I'm gonna slap you in the face with some deer meat. I will definitely let you know next time for sure Pablo.

Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ.

Ok, for all of you bashing the non-Ohioans who stop in and say hi from time to time... they are friends with more of the regulars around these parts than aren't. Hell, most of them have travelled half way across the country just to go to support the brand we all love. Last I checked, a lot of people barely want to drive an hour to sit around and bulls*** at a dinner, let alone something bigger. They have a right to be here, just like anyone not owning a Protege has a right to make a post in the Protege section. Get over it.

I don't want to see any more drama about the damn car. All future posts relating to the car will be deleted. s*** happens. It's only between those involved. Not the 3,000 other people who read this thread. If it's not your problem, stay out of it.

If you don't like what someone says, just ******* ignore it. You only cause more drama when you start debating bulls***.

Have a nice day.

Well the 2000 Protege is no longer in my possession. Next on the agenda is selling the 1992 Protege. Then it's looking for a new daily.

Thanks Phen. (2thumbs)

In other news... good morning everyone. :)

i think after i get settled with the house, its time to start job hunting...
seeing the note on my desk this morning getting bitched out for cancelling personal plans and having to stay late and printing over 60 some drawings out for you and missing one and then getting my ass reamed, im over this place... the thanks i get for going out of my way to do you a co-worker a favor

anyone hear of any CAD Monkey jobs opening let me know, haha

^damn that sucks Levi.

Can't wait for the day to be over, nice long weekend of camping ahead. Anybody else have plans this weekend or is it too early to plan?

I'm sure some of you have noticed I made a facebook event for the columbus meet as well. Invite whoever because I know I'm not friends with alot of mazda peeps on there

I've missed a lot apparently. Dying to work on the RX-7 but no free time time. There's sooo much to do now that the weather's improved. Speaking of, I may need to get one of you Columbus guys to make a trip to Grove City and threaten Defined Autoworks for me...

We always need more product definition guys here (CAD + 3D modeling). Nothing in the Pittsburgh area, unfortunately.

I'm sorry to hear that man. I've been there. Sometimes you just have to say, I'm done at (insert end of day time) and if its not done before then, i can resume it tomorrow, or you can stay late and plot it yourself.

little easier said than done when im the ONLY drafter/designer here at this company...
if i dont bend over backwards then it doesnt get done and clients dont stay happy...
I get that part of the job and oddly enough i dont hate that as much as i probably should...
what i do hate is when i bend over backwards for an engineer and then instead of being thanked they blow up on me for the simplest mistake (IE missing one print out of 60)

Yea I get that. I have been known to stay to get things done, or come in early, but I'm hourly, and compensated for such. Also, if I have something planned after work, that's what I'm doing. Don't come at me at 3:30, asking for 3 hours of work before I leave for the day. It's not going to happen. Not that I won't try to get things done up until quitting time, but if it doesn't happen, then it doesn't happen. Tough crap.

What type of CAD drafting do you do?
