Corksport Interior LED Light Kit

:
2014 CX-5 Touring FWD Tech Pkg
This just arrived, http://www.corksport.com/corksport-mazda-cx5-led-light-kit.html
It's awesome.
Very bright and very white. The trunk area is completely visible now.
$49.99 might be a steep price, but the convenience of having it all in one package and complete colored and pictured instructions were great!

Package: 2 front map lights, 2 rear map lights, 2 vanity mirror lights, 2 license plate light, 1 trunk light.

Looks pretty nice--and white. Not a fan of the lights that extend beyond 5000K and get bluish. Where did you get the visor lights (since the Corksport kit doesn't include them)?

CorkSport includes the vanity mirror lights.
nXt listed 2 vanity mirror lights.

Looks good.

I've had them since last year, no problems with trunk light. The only complain "my wife" has is: vanity lights are too bright!

Im dying to switch ovet the LEDs but have heard of people having problems with getting error codes. Has anyone experienced this. Thanks.

That happens for exterior brake/turn signals if you don't put a resistor on. No error code issues with interior lights.

Ok. Thanks for the heads up.... how about with the DRLs and fog lights (I have a 2014 GT)?

No issues with DRLs either. I bought a pair id 18 LED smd on eBay for $20 and they look great

I installed the same set from Corksport and have had no issues. They were the only ones to offer a complete into or set including the vanity lights. The output is perfect for reading in the car (ie waiting on wife) and with the low drain, a non issue for the battery. So while the are expensive, I decided they were worth it.

Thanks for the info. Did u also do the fogs to match the xenons?

Not yet but I will soon, I replaced the fogs in my 2004 Mazda 3 9 years ago and there were no errors, but they weren't that bright (the fogs in Mazda3 sucks anyhow), but since then, LED technology has gotten so much better, I'm super surprised when I bought my DRL LED. I'll need to shop around but I'll do my fogs soon.

EDIT: the fogs are H11, same as my old Mazda3, I took the LEDs out, I can try it on my CX-5 just to test and make sure no errors.

Corksport sells 23smd led h11 for $49: http://www.corksport.com/corksport-led-drl-kit-h11.html
I might get the CREE type LED for fogs so they're brighter: $9.99: http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/H11-5W-Cree-W

Thanks I sent you a PM

I just tried my 9 year old H11 LED for the fogs, it worked, no check engine light or errors.
Picture is attached, it's the left one I tested, you can tell it's barely visible (again, old crappy LED 18 SMD). IMG_20130420_161058.webp

Thanks for all te help yesterday, I ordered te interiors, DRLs and fog light bulbs last night. ??? Did u disconnect the battery or remove the fuse (#54 I think) from the engine bay before u did your install? Only reason I ask is I read last night that e few people did that and they didn't end up with any error codes.

Nope, I just turned the car off and installed the bulbs

Which Fogs did you buy? I'm still not sure which to buy, I know I'll buy the 68SMD but not sure if I want white or yellow.

What about those Cree's you posted in the last page? Are those off your shopping list now? If you ever install that I'd love to see the results...

No, the CREE in fog lights aren't going to work. if you look a the fog ight housing, the bulb goes inside the housing but inside the housing there is a metal interior housing that covers the front, so crees has the light come out of the front so it will completely be blocked, they might be good for DRL though, but I'm happy with my 18led smd drl.
