Thanks for the input guys. I may look into running 2 sets of pads. I think I'm going to get the Carbotech AX6 pads and try them out for AutoX and the road. I may find that they're sufficient for HPDE track days. I'm not planning on doing a lot of HPDE this year. Tires are so expensive and the HPDEs eat up a ton of tread.
Also got a quick question about AutoX. If you have a crack in your windshield, do they still allow you to run? Last week, when I got a flat tire on the highway, I was slowly moving over to the right lane to exit the highway. Once I was in the right lane, a semi in front of me kicked up a rock that nailed my windshield. It created a nasty stone chip (3rd chip within the past 2 months!). I went out to my car to go eat lunch and the chip turned into a nasty crack that spans horizontally from the passenger side to about 1/3 the way across the windshield. So...I'll have to get the windshield replaced now. My car insurance has glass coverage, but a $500 deductible. I did a quick quote on SafeLite and it's like $390 LOL fml.
