Mazda2 Taillights, anyone? lol

If I was driving behind that car I wouldn't know what the hell it was doing. I'm saving up for these instead:

What's with the circle reflector of the after market ones you posted big blue dart?

If you get them you should definitely post something up about fitment. That has always been my concern when it comes to cars and aftermarket lights and such. I would love to see them on a car! I'd be interested myself.

The ones in the vid are insane.. I would only rock them to pull up in front of a new mustang who is signaling to turn and show him who's boss. Lol

I suppose even if you could get the chance to bring those over to here, they would be considered highly illegal in the US as far as on-road use goes?

Ha, I do like how you think though!

I don't know what's up with the reflector. Didn't make these myself. ;) I'm assuming a reflector in the rear is required???

The fitment of these are fine. I don't remember who, but I've seen somebody on this forum that got these (the smoked version). There is also a video that the maker, SpecD Tuning, has up on the install process:

I just realized yesterday looking at the back of my 2 that there are reflectors on the bumper. So... yeah, I don't know what the deal is with the reflectors. Still gonna get them eventually, though.

Some countries don't have the rear reflectors in the bumper. IIRC the J-spec rear bumper doesn't.

From what I understand the NHTSA requires all U.S. cars to have one set of orange reflectors on the side in the front, and one set of red reflectors on the side in the rear, plus a red set on the rear bumper. I think that's why the U.S. spec 2s come with different taillights than the other regions? Our red portion got moved upward in order to incorporate the rear side reflector?

But the reflectors are on the bumper. We were talking about why there are reflectors on the aftermarket taillights from Spec-D.

Not all markets have reflectors on the bumper; in some countries they have to be up higher, like in/near the tails.

Okay, I see what you're saying. They're trying to sell to non-U.S. markets, too. Makes sense. I'm just a little slow.
