Plasti dip

Hey guys, I have a quick question about plasti dip, I got some yesterday and started spraying some of the badges on my protege5. The first sprays were normal in the sense that it was a straight coat with no irregularities. As the temps got colder (around -3 to -5 degrees), the spray started coming out in a sludgey and bumpy way. I just wanted to know before continuing to use it, what the optimal temperature is for spraying.

You should always paint during the summer. Or when it's hot. Luckily for me I live in Florida. It's always hot.

The directions on the can probably tell you optimal temp and humidity.

I read the back prior to use and there was nothing mentioned about temperature other then not storing it above 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Regardless I will wait until the temps get around the 10-15 degree Celsius mark to give it another try.

Cheers

it should be used around 60-70 degrees F, with low humidity. but it can be done in lower temps...if it was clumping, you can avoid that by putting the can in a tub of warm water in-between coats. But due to cold weather the coats will need anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to dry. not the normal 5 minutes.

Perfect! Thanks for the info.
