A tire balancer and mounting machine are pretty easy to use. The biggest part is taking your time and not f*&^ing up the wheel surface. There really isn't much to it for the balancer. Mount the wheel on the machine, lock it down, follow the directions on the screen and put the weight where it tells you to. The mounting machine on the other hand can be a b**** depending on what size of tire you are using. Some machines are better with lower profile tire than others. Take the valve stem out, depress both sides of the tires to break the bead off the wheel, center mount on the clamps and your half way there. The swing are for the top is the hardest part usually it is easier to take a wheel off than it is to put a wheel on. Just make sure you lube the s*** out of the center of the tire with soapy water. This is where low profile tires can be a b****. They don't have as much play as the taller sidewall tires.
