The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

quick question- for those of you who have switched out the stock front sway bar for the racing beat, what brackets did you use to hold it in there? The brackets that came with my 25mm energy suspension bushings (and the bushings themselves) are a bit too wide and they won't line up with the bolt holes in the sub frame unless i can move the little rubber collars on the sway bar a little more outward.
Did you guys just use the stock MSP brackets or will ones from energy suspension or prothane work?

I don't have either right now, reworked my schedule so I can have some time to go the gym.

I bought a gym membership and after 3 months still felt the same and not 1 pound lose, I said screw it, and haven't been to the gym since December. Now I can't go as I am back on the road driving. So yeah lack of motivation kills me.

I think I went with prothane ones after my oem bracket broke twice. I had to modify the bracket by cutting off one end so it was open like the stock and made a U shape. They had 2 choices at jegs and I went with the skinnier bushing of the two

I bought a membership in January and haven't been to the gym yet, don't feel bad lol.

when you are working on cars, I've seen it, you get in your zone. other times, maybe not so much ; )

sorry, Jeff, for once lately, not a WWP. it's the grey color, i forget what they call it.

Jake told me he got it in October, so that's about right.

Thanks Lauri.

And that chick is a little too ripped for me as well. Looked much better in her 'natural' pic

i would say alot of the progress or lack there of is in what you are eating... atleast it is for me right now, i know im getting more muscular and getting substantially stonger but i still have a gut and love handles,
working out and living a fit/active lifestyle a sprint and you wont see results immediately, its a sprint that takes time... dont give up cause you havent seen results in 3 months

it'a funny that you're all talking about this now. the dental assistant at my office is taking off tomorrow to accompany her boyfriend down to Columbus because he is in a competition - doing physique (not body building). I never heard of that aspect of it before she told me, or never really thought about it. I told her to take pics. I'll share : ) of course it'll be of a dude for the few of us girlz on here : )

the thought of going to the Arnold has crossed my mind
My roomate and a few of his buddies are going out to it, they have gone every year for the past 3 or 4 years

Thanks Lauri.

ok, ill explain it this way, most physique competitors are a bit more "normal" looking most of the year, then when it comes time to show prep they cut out a buch of stuff from the diet and the last week before the show are so dehydrated that they looked ripped to hell... i can bet that girl doesnt look like the pic on the right year round, that was def. "show shape"

So remember when we were chatting about getting a community wheel mounting machine and tire balancer? I've got a good friend here at work who's brother works for a roofing company and the owner is an automotive hoarder and is selling off his warehouse of tools for cheap. Most of it is pretty banged up but I asked for a price on the mounting and balancing machines.

He's also got a few other cool tools he'll be selling so I'll take pics when I got up there next week.

Don't get me started about the new plates... I absolutely hate the "Beautiful Ohio" plates. Next year I'm getting the new plates for my STi. (My birthday was in February so I couldn't wait to renew :()

I looked at a tire changer and balancer before. I was surprised that they aren't all that expensive.

I don't know anything about them but I'm sure if the toothless guy at the used tire place can do it I can too. I'm pretty sure there has to be a special machine for low profile tires but I'll research it and see what's available. If everything works out we can all just mount and balance tires at my house FTW!

I like that idea. Who has a garage/shop large enough to put it? Marc is the only person I can think of right off, and his shop might not be big enough.

Semi-ninja'd.

PS- Lauri, you guys should've waited. The new plates are coming out April 15th.

Don't anyone steal "SLOW MS6" because that's what I'm getting to match the P5. :D

I hate the new plates....I wish they would have sometning more creative than the red, white and blue crap with all of the writing on the new plates.....Ohio plates are boring...I really don't like this design either, just went with the lesser of two evils.....

GOOD! Right before my birthday too yay

+1 on boring but at least they aren't all multi colored and crap

Speaking of multi-colored and crap, the plates on my P5 are the old gold to white fade with blue letters. Haha. They are on their 6th car and need to go!

Yeah, my friend sent me some teaser pics. It looks about the width of my tool box for the balancer.

I mean, for the prices my friend is talking about for this stuff I'll probably buy it then figure out where I can fit it. Haha

Unless it's a total piece of crap that doesn't work then nevermind.

I have plenty of space if that is an issue. I live way out in the boonies though haha.

Well let me check it out and such first. I could just be getting my hopes up for nothing anyway. But if you're sure about that offer that would be awesome too, Will. I'm sure you and your dad will get a lot of use out of it too.

I went with the REDS plates just so I wouldn't have the ugly farm plates. Probably wont' go with personizled plates on the next car.
