Sorry, but this abortion is going to make far LESS power than the stock down pipe. Know when to pull the chute man, call it a day and put the stock s*** back on!

lol this has become the soap opera of the forum....will he finish...will he surrender and order a new pipe..turn in next week kiddys same bat station same bat channel...lol

i got my money on you:
1. 6 months from now still the same setup
2. lurking the for sale forum for more parts for your car
3. at some point in your build saying..."butt dyno proven mod"
4. being the butt of all jokes at the next car meet.

Seriously? Give the guy a break

First it's just a damn protege, its not any better than a Honda except the riced out ones, power loss is power loss no matter if its a Honda, Mazda, or Ferrari. The msp was a failed test car at best.

And as much as I respect Brian and his car, you people need to quit hanging on every word he says like he's some kind of god, was he right? Yes. But tell me why the op should be grateful because he said something? That's a ******* joke

How about congratulating him on doing something different? And even when it's still clearly ****** what does he do? He spends more money to see if it can be done right. IF he actually pulls it off it will be saving people money in the future.

Alejo- it's people like you that make me hate this forum sometimes

I will agree that I was a dick to him, (but only after I was told several times that it was in fact going to work).

there is a difference between making something good, and being destin to fail because of bad planning.

some people will only listen to what you say if you jam it down their throat.

peeople don't or shouldn't give any more or less care about something I say vs someone else. I agree, we are all novice tuners, but "you learn from doing" and holy s*** I have learned.

I tried to stop him before he started the project, because I could see even from two crappy pictures that there was NoWayItWouldWorkWell.

just trying to save him the time and money.

I was so interested to see how he was planning on making this work... I just read through all the posts and I agree with some of the negativity but why do people care so much??h
He tried something new and it OBVIOUSLY didn't work... Let him do w/e the hell he wants. I know I would never attempt such a task (mainly bc we have a machine to bend 3" pipe at work) but I give him props for trying.

Honestly I don't get why people argue so much about it and at him, if your not checking his progress or offering some HELPFUL advice then why bother wasting your time busting his balls??

I was hopeful that he would pull this off and innovate a new cost effective setup but it didn't work, now how many times has that happend to all of you?
That's all I got...

currently having clearence issues perferio you may be correct on moving the return line on the oil to the oil pan. Did not notice it was keeping the mani tilted slightly thats where my exhaust leak came from.

i'm laughing at all of of this..
why?
because everyone has this idea that the MSP is a bad platform...if you do...then why the hell do you own one? (and don't give me that "it is unique bulls***)
second, this kid was told from the get-go that it was gonna fail ..and guess what..it DID...

third,
Alejo- it's people like you that make me hate this forum sometimes
lol, seriously? me telling this kid to save his money and time and do it right makes you hate this forum?
wow, sorry bud...

fourth and most importantly..

THE FACT THAT THIS KID POSTED THIS ON AN OPEN FORUM FOR EVERYONE TO SEE GIVES US THE RIGHT TO COMMENT ON IT.
IF HE WANTED PEOPLE TO "AGREE" WITH HIS FIALED DOWNPIPE HE SHOULD'VE PUT THIS ON THE OP:

GUYS, I ONLY WANT POSITIVE FEED BACK...IF YOU GOT SOMETHING TO SAY THAT WILL STOP ME FROM THIS CATASTROPHE PLEASE BE QUIET.

this is a forum to help people and that's what most of us have done.

i've had crazy ideas only to be shut down and then realizing that perhaps i was wrong...

he can't dela with criticism...got bad news for ya...INTERWEBS ARE FULL OF THEM.

well I tried guys yes it may have been a lost cause but this has become to time consuming and is leaving a negative foot print on the forum and members. Thanks for those who supported me and those who didn't all feed back was excepted with open arms that's how we learn. I'm just stubborn and refuse to give up even when it may be a lost cause. For those who read these post's. People have there right to opinion on anything so make sure your ready when you post...So later for now and until the next project... (rockon)

good thing is you have a postive attitude about the whole thing with all the bashing. Usually someone flips out by now and the war starts and infractions start being tossed around..lol. But you held your cool and accepted the end result. I give you props for even trying something new like this. Good luck with the next project man

^ Very true, now have you been able to find a DP or are you going to be getting one custom fabricated? Unless I read that wrong and you still plan on using this somehow?

It was nice try. I've often wondered if you could just pick up a generic T25 dp such as this. Unfortunately, it looks like you can't. Blocking off the oil return and tapping the pan is obviously not impossible or even that difficult, but it is just extra steps and the more steps involved the more chance one of them can go wrong.

i'm glad you took it this nicely.

thanks for proving that yet another mod is next to impossible to install on the MSP :)

you have saved people A LOT of time and money by proving that this, in fact, does not work!

for that, the community thanks you.

BTW, there is another guy doing a built that just picked up this same DP.
i linked him here but he still thinks he might be able to make it work.
perhaps you guys can get together and figure this one out?

Since when has the msp ever been a good platform? Throw in a better diff, a way to tune it, and rods that won't break on 6 psi. And sure it's good. I don't own an msp and I refuse to toss thousands into a protege.

And there's a difference between constructive criticism and just being a dick
