I chose the Kenwood because it has support for Android devices. I could have spent a little more and got a bluetooth unit instead of the USB port unit but it charges while it plays this way. I use the USB for the music playback but I have to use the 3.5mm jack to listen to audio-books on the commute. No biggie.
I also got the steering wheel button controller adapter. It is really nice to be able to use the steering wheel buttons to control the music player on my phone.
The sub-woofer is a 26 year old Clarion 100w combo amp/woofer. I had it under the seat of my Mazda B2000 pickup when it was new back in 1986. I took it out of that truck long ago and the woofer sat on a shelf in my garage until now. It mounts under the middle seat of the 5 perfectly.
The Garmin unit was a tricky install design but I have it in a perfect position and made it easily removable to be put in my other vehicles.
