Would ANY FSDE engine be compatible? Not just one from a Protege?

why do cars don't come with them form factory?
it adds vibrations, just like a motor mount but you only feel them while driving.
best mode so far

Any coil fired FSDE. The older ones had a dizzy. If you're just after a block, yes.

So a FSDE swapped out of a 626 would work? Gonna take my car up to a shop this week and have them do a compression test to figure out the exact problem. If it ends up being something serious I'm thinking about just replacing the engine. Just trying to get an idea for things if worst comes to worst. Thanks!

Yes, but you'll need to keep the MSP windage tray for the oil drain from the turbo, and if you get an older block you'll need to bring over your head and all that.

Well I'm thinking it's either a bad head gasket or a bad piston ring as I noticed oil on one of the spark plugs and around where it attached. I was told that depending on what the problem is, replacing it entirely would be the cheaper option.

Yesterday I went to the shop and worked on the msp some more. Pulled some more things off. Also sand blasted my wiper arms. The will be resprayed satin black.
