What have you done to your P5 today?

Cylinder 2 misfire has been corrected. I swapped new plugs into cylinders 2 and 3 along with the corresponding coil pack. Went to pull the coil off of the plug and the damn boot ripped off in the cylinder. Just changed them last April so I got a free one from Autozone....was very happy to find out they had a 2yr warranty! They only had one in stock at the store in my town so that is why I didn't change the plugs in cylinders 1 and 4. My luck that coil would break too and I wouldn't have a replacement. Going to call around tomorrow to see if the other stores in the area have one in stock. Will be able to change the plugs then with some peace of mind. lol

Thanks for the tips guys. Ill try the buff I suppose this evening...

As As far as if I use the h1s, they have a high and low beam in em, like, they're bi-xenon, correct? Or not, in which case I might be looking at picking up a larger set and all. I wish I knew more about dit stuff. Live and learn :)

Any ideas, on a slightly different topic, where I could find the yellow sheets to tint the fogs? Ill probably ask around locally. Not sure if its any better to buy em from the interweb?

Gonna run the halogens for a little longer though, perhaps till May (get out of school then). Ill have a position hopefully as an intern where I worked this past summer.

The H1's are Bi-xenon (Hi/Low). If you want something bigger you will then have to cut out a portion of the LB bowl to make it fit and requires more work. The H1's are a direct bolt-on set using the existing hole in the reflector. More info can be found on the thread I posted earlier which is the same one I used when I decided to upgrade to HID projectors from HID H7 bulbs and also provides you steps if you want to use a bigger set of HID projectors rather than the H1's.

thanks a bunch. :) I probably won't bother putting the lights back on the car till I do the "retro". I've got another car im driving so I can wait to put the lamps on :D

Depends on the offset of the wheel. 215/40/17 is stock diameter, so the 215/50 is going to have almost an inch taller sidewall...

Plugs and wires on Monday... THEN the thermostat took a s*** today. Locked closed so most of the coolant was in the water pump... which came pouring out all over the driveway when I pulled out the thermostat. The old one seemed to be missing a piece too. I'll get a picture up tomorrow and you guys can tell me.

It's been one hell of a week with this car. All cheap fixes though.

Rims look nice :) do u mind me asking, what is it you have on the front bumper? Looks sorta like a bra or some plastidip?

Well that's no good! Its okay though, I have my front end apart :D fixing up the lights and whatnot. I dont see ant reason to put the bumper back on seeing as its not gonna move anywhere any time soon! I wish I lived somewhere where rust was rare like unicorns... Its taken over my car :( either way, cant wait to see the bumper painted :) it looks good I might say!
