Oh tires for sure. I have seasonal tires
lolz, so? I have all seasons hahaha. It's nice to know the limits of grip for safety purposes. May come in handy when someone cuts you off and slams on their brakes

I wouldn't call him a professional.....but ok.There are somethings meant to be done by professionals, unless you have the greatest confidence in yourself to do it. Even though it can be done on your own, sometime you don't have all the tools to do it or more like doing it right. In this case, I think I rather protect my investment by having someone else do it with way more knowledge. All in all, I mess with everything else, except my motor.
Get my bbk spot then !!
And he needs a turbo kit as well![]()
BBK won't help with s*** if you have mediocre tires. AKA not required unless you plan to brag about it.
Yeah, I'm sorry but that AAC BBK is silly. $900 + shipping for basically an aesthetic mod. The Mazda6 brake upgrade would be plenty for a Protege. Heck, I plan on putting the stock P5 rotors and calipers to work if I can ever get the damn car off jack stands and onto a track next year. haha
Here's a tip, you don't need brakes for auto-x. Momentum car.![]()
Pretty much. I'm no auto-x king and a complete newb but in the two times I did it all I needed was a quick stab at the brakes to scrub speed then right back on the throttle. Granted my P5 was MUCH slower than your MSP. But I was surprised how little I actually used the brakes. My friend, Marc (with the blue RX-7) told me I wouldn't be using the brakes, and he was right.![]()
