I don't think they're improvements when the computers are simply hiding bad drivers. If that's cool with you that there are kids out there fooling thinking they're Speed Racer because they have a fancy car with lots of electronic crap (see vid Josh posted), I guess that's your call. And that's really what it boils down to. The computers either attempt to cover up driver error, or offer more distractions. In-dash DVD player/nav system? Or like how Ford decided to remove the physical buttons and put everything on the touch screen. Perfect. Now you can't even change the fan speed without taking your eyes off the road. Sounds like improvement to me. They're having great success with it, as well, since they partnered with Microsoft.
