I am super happy with the fitment and the look of the part. It will be interesting to try it out at speed to how much of a difference is makes with the air duct.

Does the box completely house the filter? In the photo, it looks as if I can see the cap of the filter element on the driver side. Another photo or 2 could give us a better idea of the design. I know you said its still a few months out, but I've got to see more!

I fabricated a test unit somewhat similar on my two and as soon as I had installed it I started throwing P0171 lean trim codes on a daily basis. Has this been happening with your test unit? I spoke with the techs at my dealership and they (and I) suspect the fuel pump or rail/injectors may not be robust enough to deal with the demand from the extra airflow at speed.

Can't wait!!!!

No check engine lights from driving with the part installed. The face of the filter gets the air and the back of the part is open as is the end with the filter cap. I will see if I can get more pictures up soon.

when i fabd my own i had it lead from the oem vent (of course) and was throwing lean codes left and right. but it wasnt too much air. it was too much air coming from a certain angle. when i had the air flow around the filter instead of right into the side i didnt throw codes (also i made it out of tinfoil...) but it worked when the air was around it not right into the side.

im sure cork already knows this but just some code throw story.

IVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR THIS.

Any chance you guys will offer this without the big logo on it? Living in CA, it appeals to me how much it otherwise looks OEM, which would be nice if I got my hood popped.

Sounds good! I'd be down if the price is right. Minus the codes my little makeshift part actually made a difference in keeping the power up when the compartment gets warm.

The logo is just a vinyl decal. You can take it off if you dont want it on there.
