The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

My neighbor and his family drove to VA for vacation today, he emailed me this pic. lol

Anyone ever see this one?

Never seen it before.

The guy came to look at the Camaro today, of course it wouldn't start so I guess it was a sign. He offered $600 which I feel is low but not like he's really low balling considering he couldn't see it running and all the rust. But for that little amount I'd rather keep it and tinker with it on the weekends a little bit and continue saving for a dream build.

Thanks for the birthday wishes gang. I did have a good one, even though Jenny is at the breast cancer walk in cleveland this weekend (thanks again for the donations). Andrew, Kayla (my oldest daughter that moved in with us), and I went to a friends house for some gun shooting and music playing. Good times!

anyone know anything about Motobecane? i'm looking at getting one of their cyclocross bikes and wanted to get some opinions.

Overall good bike for the money. I rode one of my friends. I don't remember what kind it was, but it had a light cross touring mountain bike from with street tires. I liked it. I;'' have to get some picks of the big DB up here sometime.

Wedding is done and the focus is back to the car :) and starting the nw school year :(

Thank you for the donation Larry!

Congrats Corey.

Question of the day, What would cause my spark plug to disappear? It started running really rough right before I got home, popped the hood and the plug boot was laying on top of the valve cover and the spark plug was no where to be found. Is my head screwed or can I just put in a new spark plug?

Oh snap. That's not good, buddy. You may have just blown the spark plug out of the threads or it wasn't torqued down enough. Or you may have blown the threads out of the head for the spark plug. Can you see anything with a flashlight or try threading in another spark plug?

Congrats again, Corey and April. :)

Congrats to Corey and April! He got a good one and we'll have to do a couple of shots.

It was in there about 2 years, didn't think to try one of the other plugs to check the threads. I did buy a head from pope in cincy, just don't have a chance to go down and get it til the 25th. I guess what I'm really asking is am I car-less until I can replace the head?

Well you're running on 3 cylinders without a spark plug, mate... Soooo...

I know, do I bother with a spark plug only and wait and see if it does the same or just wait til I get the "new" head

I don't think it's going to hurt anything more if you try to thread another spark plug in. Try it, let it idle, give it some throttle, see what happens. Worse case scenario you have a new (used) head waiting for you. All IMHO, of course.

Wes that thing must steer hella fast, it has almost no caster. I own a POS Wal-mart mountain bike I have even rode it three times for a total of 10 miles, maybe.

I have a Toys-R-Us Pacific bike I bought for $120 about 15 years ago. The funny thing is, I still ride it about 4 times a month and somehow it works!! I'm on my 3rd set of tires LOL, if only the MS3 tires lasted that long....

O btw.....CONGRATS Corey and April!!!!

I have seen plugs back out of a head before. I would check the threads and try to put another in there. If the threads are bad you can install a helicoil.
