What have you done to your MSP today?

I was using a tough guard when it failed. Tough guards still have cardboard end caps. Maybe they're tougher cardboard, but they're still cardboard, and in my case, still failed.

separated the ADP from my new DG grill & cleaned up the 3M double sided tape mess...

sanding the grill & painting it later this evening.

I found out yesterday that when i get free boxes of random parts from protege friends i should probably go through them haha. I found a atp wastegate, and a atp wastegate bracket for a 28rs. I was so stoked when i found the bracket because it meant that i didn't have to modify my old one. i clocked my outlet straight down it should make for some extremely short hotside piping.

I didnt mod my bracket, just made a quick plate for the rod. moved it down just a half inch or so. I also attempted to clock my disco down but the bracket wouldn't fit up to the block right. so I stuck with up. the disco is a really tight fit :)

hey guys, I have noticed that when I go around turns.. turning left only, that the oil light goes on.. I just changed the filter and oil a few weeks ago, and even added some extra a few days ago, but the oil light still comes on.. would that light come on if the tranny oil is low too? or what do you guys think could be causing this? the oil is the right weight and full synthetic and all that
OIL LEVEL. This has caused me to eat up bearings twice in my car.

+1, turning with a low oil level sends all the oil to one side away from the oil pickup which would turn on the oil light

And it ONLY happens when turning left. Not once have I seen it when turning to the right.

if you are using the stock bracket you have to mod it the holes aren't big enough. on my 1st 28rs i used the 28rs bracket and just spaced it out with some washers. On my second 28rs i used a modified stock bracket. The turbo im using now is a 2871 with compact 28r housing so i should have more room then my old 28 with the standard housing.

this is the bracket im using now.

Not using the t25 bracket. using the 28rs bracket with a quick mod to move the rod down where its adjustable.

hmm, Well I am using a K&N filter, which I have used before and didn't seem to have problems with it, but maybe i will try another way after this, but also i will check the oil level again, but like I said, I changed out the oil a few weeks ago, and have only probably put.. I dono not even 1000 miles on it, and I checked the level a few days ago and topped it off so there is probably more than 4 qts of oil in there.. but I will check it again today.. and see where the oil level it at.. it's just kind of strange.

Where would the oil level sensor be? what's it close/next to. just so I can check that

i understand i used the same bracket with my 1st 28rs. I had problems with the wastegate hitting the block with that one so i had to use washers to pull it back. I'm going to do the same thing i did with my last atp wastegate to get it to fit cut it thread the end and put a adjustable piece on there.

i used the turtle wax headlight restoration kit that i got for 8 bux. kinda altered the method i used the second time around since their compound didnt do s*** for me so i dont use it anymore. i used their spray lube and sanding pads and followed their instructions, cleaned off the headlight and let them dry, then applied meguire's tech wax 2.0 and buff it off. maybe 2 - 3 weeks later, i'll need to reapply the wax again. im sure you can use whatever type of wax you want tho

edit: oh, this kit, you just sand the headlights by hand. if you want to use a drill, i'd recommend the 3m kit

Headlight lens resto:If they are really bad then I'd wet sand them with 1000/1200, buff them with Meguairs Ultimate compound and then apply Meguair's Cleaner wax. If it's just mild oxidation then they will respond to a buffing with the cleaner wax, which is a blend of cleaners, polish and wax. You can get the compound, wax and pack of 3M sandpaper from Wal Mart. Mine were losing the coating so I sanded that off a while back. Now I just hit them up with the buffer and an 8" inch pad. I just bought a a 3" mini pad kit that will allow me to get in to the inside corners better. 323 - yours look good, especially for using a kit.
