What have you done to your P5 today?

You're doing it right. (2thumbs)

You looked like a little kid with a huge box of candy bars when Nate gave those to you. Haha

At the moment, with the 205-40 tires on my car it looks like an Outback wagon. I have been looking forward to getting the wheel gap closed down a bit, so ya I'm a happy camper.

Honestly, she didn't look bad at all on the way to the C-bus meet. I love the white wheels/trim with the blue P5. Gotta plastidip that hood though. I would say bring the P5 up to my place but I'm going to be a busy bee for a while...

Started tearing mine apart for the KL swap.

Plastidip, thats an idea. I love the anti-black wheels on my car, looks so good with the midnight blue.

Yeah, I mean it will look better than the silver. I'm not sure how evenly it will coat on a large surface like that but Cam did his front bumper and it looks good. Worth a shot. And if it's poopie then just peel it off. :)

Does my fuel pump/sender housing look as bad as those ^up there? I guess if I don't get any fuel smell I won't have to look, and in my mind it will always look prestine. lol In other news I finally got lowering springs, Eibach pro-kit NIB for $125. Thanks again Nate. Now I only need to find the time to install them and get an alignment.

The only "down side" of the Pro Kit is that they're progressive rate springs. They'll be comfortable around town, but progressive rate springs tend to not be as predictable in aggressive driving situations as linear springs are. YMMV.

I know, but the price was right. I don't plan to be real aggressive with the car. I will leave that to the younger or better funded people and live vicariously through them.

Absolutely. And I mean, it's not a bad thing by any means. IIRC, DaveB was tracking his on the Pro-Kit.

just curious, why not the d2s version?
seems that lots of people prefer the H1 version more :/

d2s version sticks out in the back more and I don't want to deal with the windshield washer neck on the passenger side. It's already tight in that area as-is

Oooooo I didn't know that :/
Maybe that's why those bugeye subies are doing the H1's too!
I recently did the bugeye for my friend and he chose to do the h1's as well, although I didn't ask why. I see now.
But these projectors are really easy to work with and the output on these are great for what they are!

yup, cover was fine

The cover doesn't ever really need replacing, scraping it down well is probably good enough. Everyone replaces it because it's cheap ($14 from Mazda).

What appears to have not been replaced is the pump body (aka high-pressure fuel filter) which is what causes the problem in the first place...

well managed to get mine all apart tonight.. thanks cheese for the tips on the PB blaster and hammer with the new screwdriver. the screws all came out with the screwdriver, and the white part of mine is all cracked where the metal was covering it. luckily all my new pieces are waiting for me minus the new gasket which should be at the dealer tomorrow. hopefully i have a leak free system for the weekend
