Rico's build thread.

ah 2 things i have a rattling noise that comes and goes from the driver side of the engine bay and i cannot find what it is its driving me nuts. and also when i go over like a bump or unleveled area there is like a clunk noise from that side too :( any ideas on what either could be?

didnt see any loose bolts or anything

Just got the front endlinks from a ford escape to swap out the oem p5 ones which I bet driver side one is bad and the reason I have a clunk noise . Also picked up some. Spark plugs. What gap do you guys run on a n/a p5?

Also which Ngk plug part number ?

Added new driver side front end link will drive it soon to see if that was my clunk noise . Changed spark plugs also ..

Tomorrow or Friday I'll change the driver side link so they are both the same from the ford escape

Had a flat lastnight :/ got a replacement today.

Noticed on my rear sway bar on the driver side is good but the passenger side of it the sway bar is hitting /sitting on the metal right under it.

I have adjustable links . Does that mean I open it more or close it to fix that problem ?

Re adjusted it. It's all the way closed like the driver side one and it's still very close . Guess I need to go back to oem ones which seem to be shorter then

What most people do is put the end link under the bar and extend the endlinks

um im new at this got a pic of how thats done?

i was told that i just need shorter links which means i guess the oem ones are shorter than these ones when they are closed all the way.

The ideal position for the sway bar is to be parallel with the ground. I would move the bar under the lateral links, and make the endlinks longer. Be careful with letting the swaybar rest on the lateral bars for too long, they will bend over time.

so shift the sway bar down ur saying? sorry noob at this lol never messed with sway bars before.
