Yeah, I've always struggled with looking farther ahead at the couple of Hyperdrives I did. It's even more important with Auto-x. But I was finally getting the hang of it on my last run. Dang it! Haha. And I think the car can be pushed a lot more, especially through the slalom. Marc was yelling Go go go! And his Miata would just whip through the cones. But that's the cool thing about track days and auto-x is you get to learn SAFELY what your car is capable of. I'll get to learn even more next weekend at Geauga Lake.

Jake took pics but is a busy cat, I'll post them when he get's them uploaded. He said he took video but it's shaky.

A huge thanks to Jake (etipp98) for taking all these pics!

On the way to Toledo.

I worked corner #1 as a total newb. But I think I did okay. Even though my face says "I think I have to pewp..."

Then finally it was my turn to run.

edit button can work wonders...

good stuff Evan and I would have just flicked the guy behind you off

All the cones laying down are pointer cones, there supposed to help guide you around the course but some times they make the course more confusing.

A quick pic the night before my 2nd auto-x with the Enkei's and Nitto NT-01's on.

But I'm sticking to street tires for a while. My Star Specs are chunking pretty badly so I wanted to try out the R-comps since I've had them mounted for 2 years and never ran them. I knew they would be different but I need to learn more about driving before using them again. Even if it means chewing up some street tires. But I still had a blast, regardless. My instructor for the first 2 runs (of 5) was really helpful. I was pushing way too fast through the slalom and nailed a couple cones on the first two runs. So then I slowed down and just weaved the course and got quicker times. I'm still not up to par on my driver mod but more auto-x'es will help. Next one is July 1st. :)

Yeah, but they're too fragile for driving around here. I bent two of them in one year.

edit- results from the auto-x are here if anyone is interested. Look at Evan #2's times! Compare them to his class of SMF and SM and he was faster than everyone and it was his FIRST auto-x! That boy is a natural!

Jake, we probably should switch the numbers now. haha

Wes, RPF1's aren't cheap. $250 a wheel + shipping + mounting and balancing a tire. :P
